Chapter 591
"It's not. Ms. Newman, please take a cab instead." Sean rejected her without hesitating.
Tony stepped on the pedal and left Sharon behind after hearing what his boss said.
He regretted it the moment he stopped the car. He would not have deaccelerated, and he would go right past that person if he knew that it was Sharon.
'How could I allow that woman to affect my boss's mood?
'I have to make sure that nothing goes wrong with my year-end bonus.'
Tony could not help but glance at the rear-view mirror. Then, he looked forward grumpily and focused back on driving.
It was already midnight, and the road was serene and empty.
They passed through the dark forests. Traveling at night would make people feel strange and the tires rolling against the road was the only sound that could be heard.
The windows on both sides were completely shut. Tony turned on the heater and isolated themselves from the cold and desolate forest.
Molly felt like she was looking at another world from inside the car while her blur silhouette reflected in the window.
She tilted her head and looked forward, she could only see what was in front of the car under the high beam.
She stared outside, looking cold. It was like she spaced out.
The encounter just now flashed across her head.
'It's already been so long. I didn't expect that Sharon would still try her luck at Sean.1
Molly felt somewhat uncomfortable as if something was poking into her palm. It felt painful and uneasy.
Not to mention that Sharon also was the person that Alice preferred to be together with Sean.
She felt even worse.
"Are you tired?"
Sean was not bothered by Sharon at all as he asked Molly out of concern. 'She's probably exhausted after working for so long.'
He looked at Molly. His eyes were so bright, they looked like stars in the night sky.
Molly swept a glance across him. she was about to give him a smile, but she felt unnatural. So, she gave up on that idea and flatly said, "A little."
However, she was still very bothered by the messy thoughts in her head. She struggled to pull herself away from what happened.
This was because she liked him very much.
"You can lean on me and sleep for a while," Sean spoke.
Molly bit her lip.
"If you say so."
She moved without saying anything and sat closer to Sean, she voraciously indulged herself in Sean's warmth and threw all her messy thoughts to the back of her mind.
Molly leaned her head on Sean's shoulder. Then, she could not help but shifted her entire weight onto Sean.
Sean chuckled to himself after feeling how much Molly trusted and believed in him subconsciously.
Molly slowly shut her eyes. Sean could smell the faint scent of wood and herbs beside him as he lost himself in the happy place that only belonged to him.
Molly had also stopped thinking about Sharon and Alice entirely.
Sean observed her features carefully, and it took him some time to realize that Molly was asleep after looking at her silently for a while.
