Trouble in Paradise (Arianna and Nicholas) novel Chapter 323

Despite it only being a short walk, my forehead was already covered in cold sweat by the time I returned to our table.

I thought setting Nicholas up and tricking him here would be enough, but who knew that it wasn't enough?

How was I supposed to ask Nicholas to use his connections to help Pete? Businessmen would never engage in a losing deal.

I was still feeling a little dazed, but I knew Nicolas was looking at me. So, I gave him a small smile, not minding to show Harry a little affectionate display.

"Honey, I'm sweating. Could you help me wipe my sweat off?"

I sat down and leaned toward him. He was so close that I could even see the pores on his nose. Nicholas' breaths became slightly heavy as he held my face and pushed me back gently.

Then, he took out a handkerchief from his pockets and placed it on my forehead. "Behave yourself. Harry is still here."

Although he was reprimanding me, his tone was filled with affection.

Harry laughed and said, "I saw the news some time back and thought you and Ariana had…"

He paused, seemingly at a loss on how to continue. So, he decided to change his words and said, "Ariana used to be Roman's precious baby. He had asked me to look out for her before he passed.

"Nick, you can't bully her just because she doesn't have someone to back her up.

"No matter how beautiful and considerate other women are, they'll never be able to compare to the one that had been by your side.

"Not to mention, Ariana has always been head over heels for you since a young age."

Harry's words were pleasant to hear, but I did not take his words to heart. I had felt what true sincerity was like, so I believe I was able to tell when someone was being sincere or not.

Inevitably, Nicholas and Harry had some business to discuss. So, I excused myself and headed to the toilet.

After rinsing my mouth, I looked up to see Nicholas standing behind me like a brick wall. As if needing to vent, he looked at me calmly for a few seconds before pinning me to the sink like a madman.

He carried me up onto the sink, moved between my legs, and kissed me. His kisses were full of emotion, and he had even begun gnawing.

It wasn't a bad thing. I wouldn't need to explain anything to him if he managed to vent out all his emotions. It was like an unspoken agreement between us.

I placed my arms on his shoulders and wrapped my arms around his head. I held onto his head as we lost ourselves in the kiss.

I didn't know how long had passed until someone began knocking from the other side of the door, complaining that we were taking too long. Only then did we pull apart.

I smiled nonchalantly, but Nicholas didn't seem to be very happy. His dark gaze was filled with lust and desire as he said, "Don't think that this is over. Ariana, this is far from enough."
