True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 1141

More than a year ago, when Yvonne left, she had thought of the possibility of coming back to such a situation, but she never thought of it thoroughly, and neither did she have the time to do so.

Because at that time, she had no choice but to leave. However, what was happening now really suffocated her.

Maria had refused her embrace, which broke her heart and made her feel like it could literally break anytime.

She had suffered a lot of hardships on her own to give birth to this child. Only God knew how much pain and disdain she had suffered for the sake of her child.

She looked at the child with mixed emotions and comforted herself as to not be calculative with her. She was only acting this way because of how hurt she was feeling.

She wasn't good enough and it ended up causing pain to her child.

Yvonne pursed her lips and called out softly, "Maria."

Maria narrowed her eyes. She looked at Yvonne without saying anything.

There was a heavy silence for a few seconds.

Maria still hadn't begun speaking, but Yvonne could easily sense coldness, disdain, and doubt through her gaze alone.

Her heart was literally going to shatter into pieces.

Maria looked at her coldly for a while, then suddenly walked past her and entered the unit.

She had grown taller by at least five centimeters, and her face still looked the same. However, it was slightly rounder, which showed that she had been well taken care of in the past year.

Even though Yvonne felt so bad that she was suffocating, she held it in and stared at her child while taking a look outside the door.

Zachary wasn't there as there wasn't a single trace of him outside.

She was a little hesitant and figured that he probably didn't wish to be involved in such a scene.

Yvonne didn't know what Zachary was thinking, but she certainly didn't expect him to send Maria over so quickly.

No matter what, being able to see her daughter was the best thing that could happen to her. Even if she was clearly unhappy at her, she was beyond satisfied at the fact that she could see her child, be it only for a moment.

She didn't have time to figure out the deeper meanings behind his action as she was still surprised about it.

She closed the door quickly and turned to look at the little figure.

Maria was looking at Yvonne in such a way as if she was way above her.

Yvonne didn't know whether to laugh or cry. She wiped away the tears that emerged at the corners of her eyes and approached her, "Maria, I know you feel wronged and I would like to apologize to you. I'm really sorry, okay?"

Maria snorted. Her tone and attitude were exactly the same as Zachary's.

Like father, like daughter.

Yvonne pursed her lips and didn't want to give up so easily even though Maria had snorted coldly, so she continued with a smiling face, "Don't just snort at me, can you say something?"

Maria glanced at her and threw her a line from a TV series, "If apologies were useful, why would we still need policemen. Do you think that your face is as big as that of a policeman's?"

Yvonne felt even more unsure whether she was supposed to laugh or cry. While she agreed with what her daughter said, she felt helpless now that it was being applied in this context.

"Then what can I do to get you to forgive me?" Yvonne tried to negotiate to see what she could do to make her daughter warm up even more.

Maria ignored her plea completely and accused her, "Why didn't you expect such a day to arrive when you decided to leave previously? You left as you liked and came back as you deemed fit without caring about anyone else. Since you have done so, why do you need my forgiveness? What have you been doing all this while?"

Yvonne felt speechless.

"Why should I forgive you?" Maria continued to be aggressive.

Yvonne was truly helpless and she could only listen to her while continuing to smile.

She already knew that Maria wouldn't be happy about this, but she wasn't expecting her to be so unhappy to this extent.

"You didn't even tell me when you left, and now you're expecting me to forgive you? Let me tell you, that's impossible," Maria lifted her chin and looked proud as she spoke, "If it wasn't because Daddy asked me to come over and see you, do you really think I would have come? He's such a kind person, but let me tell you, I'm as unkind as you are."
