True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 170

Heinz frowned as he tried to recollect his memories

Remi widened her eyes and looked at Heinz, hoping he could remember her.

However, Heinz looked indifferent and a little annoyed.

"Mr. Jones, you really can't remember me?” Remi asked in disbelief.

Heinz stared at her, annoyance evident in his tone. "Am I supposed to remember?"

Remi's lips trembled and her tears started pouring.

Heinz glanced at her crying and frowned, "Lester, go get us another nurse."

"Yes sir!" Lester took a quick glance at Remi and scurried out the room.

Remi still couldn't believe the scene unfolding in front of her as she stood at the corner, her tears never stopped flowing.

"Get out," Heinz said coldly.

It was awkward to see a grown lady shedding tears in public.

"Mr. Jones, I...I thought you would have remembered me." Remi refused to leave. She glanced at Heinz and whispered, "I always remembered you all these years. But..."

Heinz scoffed, "You'd read too many fairy tales. I'd helped so many people with their problems through

the years. Do you think I can remember each and every one of them?"

Remi staggered as she placed the tray on the table. She then turned around and ran out of the room.

Grace felt a little sympathetic towards her.

Girls enjoy fairy tales and it is normal for them to eventually fall for the person who had shown them kindness before.

Grace noticed Heinz's disturbed expression - he probably didn't expect this to happen either.

"You're so harsh towards her, what if she does something unthinkable to herself?" Grace muttered.

"Do something unthinkable to herself?" Heinz said coldly, "Then that's none of my business. Am I supposed to comfort her because of her one-sided feelings? Am I supposed to remember every single person whom I'd helped before? There is only so much I can do, Grace."

"But she admires you so much." Grace reminded him, "You're too harsh, I think you hurt her feelings."

"Grace!" Heinz exclaimed, "Which side are you on?"

Grace blinked her eyes and realized that he was really upset. "I'm afraid that something bad might happen."

"Even if something happens, I will not allow any kind of misunderstanding to brew from my end," Heinz said flatly.

Grace was stunned and saw that his eyes were brightly lit with determination.

At this moment Lester entered the room, with another nurse following him closely behind.

Heinz looked at Lester and ordered, "The nurse who will be attending to Grace should know her duty well. If anyone has any foul intentions, report immediately to me."

"Understood." Lester immediately nodded.

The newly-assigned nurse shivered at Heinz's cold tone, "Mr. Jones, Miss Smith, you can rest assured that we will abide by our duty."

"That is good to hear," Heinz said in a deep voice.

The nurse smiled and gave an injection to Grace.

This time, it only took one try. Heinz was satisfied.
