True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 1797

"Master Ernest, this is the place."

Ernest arrived at Rowane's rental home, and one of his men kept him up to date about what was going on.

Without any pause, he went straight upstairs.

There was no sound at all when he reached the door of the building. That made Ernest even more panicked.

"It's this one." The bodyguard said to him.

Ernest raised his leg and kicked open the door without any hesitation.

The door was flimsy, so Ernest's kick sent the door flying open, scaring the people inside.

Leah was in the middle of cleaning Rowane's wounds when she heard the door crash open. The towel in her hands fell to the ground.

Then, she turned to look in the direction of the door. She saw Ernest standing in the doorway, his tall frame exuding a cold aura. It was frightening to see him, actually.

Leah was shocked to see him at first, but then she smiled.

Ernest's gaze met Leah's, and they both paused.

Ernest breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that Leah was fine and that Hogan was tied up on the ground.

He quickly walked over to Leah and hugged her without another word.

He hugged her so hard that Leah felt her ribs creaking.

Leah panicked slightly as Ernest hugged her so tightly. His familiar scent filled her nostrils, and his breathing and heartbeat were very quick.

She didn't fully register that he'd arrived for some time. He was even quicker than the police.

Ernest was very efficient and it amazed her.

Leah was delighted, and she extended her arms to hug Ernest back.

She felt so close to him as she was ensconced in his embrace.

"I'm fine, don't worry." Leah was afraid that Ernest would be worried about her, so she took the initiative to tell him about her situation.

Ernest was relieved. He'd come just in time to prevent anything from happening.

It was great that Leah had managed to subdue Hogan. He was quite impressed with her.

She'd even managed to tie Hogan up on the ground. Hence, Ernest had truly underestimated Leah.

Everything she did always had the ability to surprise him.

Although nothing had happened, Ernest was still in a state of shock and fear. He couldn't imagine what would happen to him if something happened to Leah.

He figured he would go insane.

It was the first time that he had felt such deep fear.

He was so scared.

His heart hammered in his chest, unable to calm down.

Even now, it was still jackhammering away in his rib cage.

He hugged Leah even tighter.

Leah enjoyed being in his embrace very much, and she didn't say anything to him.

This was the first time she'd ever felt so worried.

Ernest's concern and fear was contagious.

Huh, perhaps Ernest really did love her.

He had to since he was so worried about her. Leah's heart overflowed with warmth when the thought crossed her might.

Ernest noticed that Rowane seemed injured, but he was glad that Leah was okay.

Their embrace made everyone envious, and Rowane stared blankly at the man who had bust down the door and hugged his sister.

Leah was snuggled up in his arms, and they looked like a match made in heaven.

That handsome man hugged Leah like she was the last bottle of water in the desert.

He didn't expect their relationship to be so close. No wonder Leah didn't give him the time of day.

Nevertheless, Hogan was still very dissatisfied. Leah was his woman at first.

He always assumed Leah liked him, but Hogan felt like he'd missed out on the most precious thing in his life as he watched them hug.

He didn't want to let Leah go.

He met her first, but Leah had moved onto another man so soon. Her feelings were so fickle!

The way they hugged each other annoyed Hogan to no end.

Hogan's tone was irritated as he shouted at them. "Ernest, Leah liked me first, but she fell for you very quickly. Think about it, she might fall for someone else just as quickly."

Leah frowned at Hogan's words. He really was trying to slander her.

He failed to get her, so he was trying to ruin her relationship with Ernest. How shameless.

Rowane cut in before Leah could say anything. "You're disgusting, Hogan Wells. Why are you still trying to ruin Leah and Ernest's relationship? Haven't you done enough?"

Hogan did not pay any attention to Rowane as he smiled sinisterly at Ernest. Even though he was restrained, he still wanted to give it a go.

Ernest's body stiffened and he slowly turned around to look at Hogan.

Leah didn't know what Ernest was going to do, but he exuded a murderous aura.

Sure enough, Ernest released Leah and walked over to Hogan. He squatted down and grabbed a fistful of Hogan's collar forcefully.

The serious look on his face made him look even more handsome, and it was rather intimidating as well.

Hogan was startled for a moment before he sneered at Ernest. "I'm giving you a reminder, Ernest. All Leah wants is your fortune. You should take a good look at her, man. She doesn't deserve your love."

Then, Ernest slammed his fist into Hogan's face with a loud crack.

The punch landed directly on Hogan's nose, and blood gushed out immediately.

Leah gasped in shock. She didn't expect Ernest to hit Hogan.

This was too unexpected for her.
