Yet, he didn't.
He did not do anything out of line, he just helped her clean every inch of her body.
His actions were so gentle, as if he was handling a piece of treasure.
Celeste thought he wouldn't be able to control himself and would have done something, but in the end, he still didn't.
He bathed her and wrapped her with a towel. Then, he carried her to the bed and wrapped her with the quilt.
He then went to get a hairdryer and dried her long hair.
His long fingers brushed through her long hair gently and slowly.
Every movement was full of tenderness.
The sound of the hairdryer continued on.
Until her hair had all dried up, he turned off the hairdryer and put it away.
Then, he sat in front of her and looked at her with his gentle eyes.
Celeste also looked back at him, their eyes met.
Celeste saw that his eyes were red, and she was moved. So much he had to say, yet it was all hidden in his deep gaze, full of redness.
She thought that he would kiss her.
However, he didn't.
The way he looked at her seemed as if he was trying hard to control himself.
The look in his eyes was full of love.
Celeste's heart tightened. She pursed her lips and whispered, "Have you not slept well for the past few days?"
"I barely slept at all." Gary didn't hide anything from her.
That was because in his state then, even if he tried to hide the fact that he didn't sleep, he couldn't hide his bloodshot eyes which had exposed the truth to her since long ago.
However, he was pleased that she was showing her concern for him.
"You silly boy," Celeste whispered, "Why didn't you sleep?"
"That's because I missed you." He did not hide his feelings at all.
Celeste couldn't stand it anymore. Her eyes soon turned red and her lashes turned moist from her
tears.
"Don't cry." Gary gently raised her chin, not wanting to see her cry.
"I can't help myself." She shook her head. "My heart hurts so much."
"I can fall asleep immediately since you're back now." He held her chin and wiped away the tears on her cheeks.
Celeste looked at him, she came out from under the quilt suddenly and wrapped her arms around his neck.
However, he caught her and pressed her under himself instead, covering her with the quilt once again.
Celeste was pressed under him, her body instantly stiffened and her face turned red.
"Don't move." Gary's voice was low and hoarse as he bit her ear in a punishing way and warned, "Don't try to provoke a wolf that has been starving for days. It's dangerous for you to do so."
Celeste felt it as well.
She stopped moving at once, and even her breathing became cautious.
After a while, his chest shook up and down as if he was laughing.
Only then did Celeste raise her head and saw that he was really laughing. She was dumbfounded and a little embarrassed when she saw the smile under his red eyes.
The man embraced her with his face on her neck. The joy of having her back was written all over his face.
Yet, he was just so sleepy.
He was finally able to hug his girl, and his heart was finally able to be at ease.
However, he fell asleep almost as soon as he closed his eyes.
His weight on her became heavier, and she could hear the even breathing beside herself.
Slowly, the breathing became a little heavier, but still even.
His breathing seemed very relaxed.
"How could it be none of my business?" Celeste felt even more apologetic. "Stop talking, you should sleep for a bit."
"I'm not going to sleep." Gary shook his head. "I'm feeling much better after a quick nap earlier. Didn't you say that we're going to have our reunion dinner later? We should go downstairs."
"However, your eyes are still bloodshot." Celeste muttered in worry, "Can you really endure it?" "Why not?" The man smiled gently and reached out to pinch her chin. "However, before going downstairs, I have to do something else."
"What is it?" Celeste was dumbfounded and didn't know what he meant.
The next second, Gary was pressing her down.
Only then did she realize what he was going to do.
Celeste's face suddenly flushed pink.
The man lowered his head, caressed Celeste's lips gently, and his warm breath inched towards her in an instant.
Celeste's whole body trembled slightly, and she felt an indescribable tingling sensation all around.
In fact, she wanted to ask him to go downstairs to have a look, and perhaps the others might be already downstairs waiting forthem both.
However, he pressed his lips against hers.
The surging feeling finally came right onto her then.
He seemed to be much stronger after a ten-minute-nap. The kiss was quite a fierce one.
Celeste felt very uncomfortable and she was almost suffocating as he kissed her.
She didn't push him away from herself, instead she reached out and hesitated for a moment, then gently hugged his neck.
She was responding to his affection.
She didn't want to think about anything else right then. She just wanted to hug him tight, the man that she loved so dearly.
Everything seemed so chaotic and quick, but Gary still succeeded in getting to do what he wanted to.
Celeste didn't refuse him at all, and she was even very cooperative.
However, all of that happened very quickly and ended very quickly.
Gary seemed to be a little depressed. After ending it, he was hugging Celeste as he said after a while, "I'm sorry for not lasting long enough. I was feeling a little too hasty."
