True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) novel Chapter 415

Grace was worried but she was relieved when she heard Jensen's voice.

Grace smiled and asked, "Did something happen?"

Jensen glanced at Alice's face and his eyes were pained again but he replied, "Nope, nothing happened. Don't worry."

"That's great. You guys have fun!" Grace chuckled, "I won't bother you two."

"Thanks." Jensen seemingly promised Grace but he also seemed to be upset that he could not protect Alice. He added, "Don't worry, Grace. I will protect Alice with my life."

Grace was taken aback when she heard Jensen's declaration. She replied sincerely, "Thank you, Officer Charm."

Alice, who was next to Jensen, froze when she heard him.

Jensen's indirect statement pressured her.

After hanging up the call, Jensen returned Alice's mobile phone to her.

Alice stared at her mobile phone in Jensen's large hand and she reached out to take it.

However, the moment her hand touched the mobile phone, Jensen suddenly wrapped his hand around hers.

Alice's body quivered and her heart trembled. Her whole body stiffened.

Her heart contracted and a pang of pain hit her.

The pain spread from her heart to her fingertips but it felt like it was the other way around too.

Alice was rooted to the spot, allowing Jensen's large palm to wrap around her hand and her mobile phone tightly.

She did not dare to look up.

Alice was afraid that she would burst into tears when she met his gaze.

However, Jensen did not speak and merely held her hand tightly.

Alice lowered her head deliberately and stared at his hand. His hands were huge. His fingers were long and slender and his nails were trimmed neatly.

Jensen was eyeing Alice when she licked her lips and uttered, "Jensen, let go."

Jensen stiffened. He clenched his hand and replied suggestively, "Alice, I won't let you go. I've decided to never let go ever since I held your hand."

Alice sighed silently. She was certain that Jensen knew that she was going to break up with him.

However, Jensen was smart and observant, hence he stopped her before she could say it.

"However if being with me puts you in danger," Jensen continued in a pained voice, "I would rather let you go."

Alice was taken aback and looked up.

She met Jensen's eyes.

Alice spotted tears in Jensen's eyes in the darkness.

Immediately, tears welled up in Alice's eyes.

"Jensen..." she called in a low voice.

Jensen stared at her and hummed in a choked voice. He was restraining himself.

Yet, Alice was able to tell how he felt.

"Before that though, I need to be sure if it's something I can overcome." Jensen's tone was resolute. He stared at Alice unblinkingly and continued firmly, "I won't give up without trying. I won't even if I die."

Alice sighed again.

She admired Jensen very much.

She did not believe in men but she could not help but admire Jensen when he acted like that.

A gush of wind blew over them and Alice shivered.

Jensen immediately took off his coat and put it around Alice without a word.

Jensen wore a casual shirt. His well-built body was hidden under the shirt.

Alice held onto the hem of his coat and tears rolled down her cheeks as she lowered her eyes.

Her tears fell on the back of Jensen's hand.

Jensen suddenly froze. He stared at Alice and put his arm over Alice's shoulder silently. They headed to the car together.

In Hart Villa District.
