Heinz and Jensen walked out of the hotel together.
In a car parked some distance away, a woman spoke with anger in her voice.
"Look, it's them."
It was said by Miranda. She had gotten into the car earlier, but she wasn't in a hurry to leave.
When Heinz was about to get into his car, Alex lowered his voice and said, "Mr. Jones, Miranda's in the car parked at nine o'clock on the opposite side of the road. She has been watching you and Officer Charm."
Hearing this, Heinz was stunned. Suddenly, he looked up at Miranda's car.
Miranda was surprised and she felt a little out of place. She asked in a low voice, "Did he discover that we were watching him?"
"Mrs. Quell." The driver-cum-bodyguard replied, "Heinz's bodyguards have already noticed you very early on, and they saw you as soon as you got in the car. While we were observing them, they also noticed us. They're very observant."
Miranda widened her eyes in shock and then looked in Heinz's direction. "D*mn it, why is he looking at me?"
However, the driver didn't say anything in reply.
"Oh, he is coming over. What on earth is he going to do? He is walking toward us. Do you see him?" Miranda shrieked nervously as she stared at Heinz, who was striding out of his car. His confident and tall figure made her feel intimidated.
The driver nodded and said, "Yes, Mrs. Quell. I see Heinz coming toward us."
"What the hell does he want?" Miranda frowned and asked impatiently. "What is he trying to do?"
The driver took a look at Miranda's nervous expression from the rearview mirror and replied matter-of-factly, "I don't know what he wants, but you should be able to guess, right? After all, he met you today. What did he say to you in the hotel?"
Miranda frowned. She subconsciously glanced at the back of the driver's head and said exasperatedly, "Forget it. What can he possibly do to me? You don't have to worry about him. Let's just leave."
Obviously, Miranda didn't want to face Heinz again, and she didn't want to have anything to do with him anymore.
However, the driver said, "Heinz is standing in front of our car. I'm afraid that we can't leave. It seems that you have to get out of the car and talk to him."
Miranda glared at him impatiently and scolded, "I told you to hurry up, but you were too slow. How the hell did you get hired as a driver? I'm not sure what use Mr. Quell has of you."
Despite Miranda's disdain, the driver spoke calmly in response, "Mrs. Quell, you'd better get down quickly and deal with Heinz. If you get home any later, Mr. Quell will be upset with you."
"Hey, watch your tone. I'm the boss here." Whenever Miranda was out of the house, she couldn't stand the fact that these servants were brave enough to go against her. Clearly, they didn't respect her at all.
"When he gets angry with you, do you want me to tell him the truth or help you hide it?"
Miranda was stunned at his words. "Are you threatening me?"
The driver nodded nonchalantly. "If you think so, then so be it."
"You..." Miranda gritted her teeth and growled, "B*stard."
On the other hand, the driver didn't display any emotion on his face. He just looked ahead without getting out of the car.
While standing outside, Heinz had witnessed what happened inside the car.
Although he didn't hear their conversation, he could tell that the Quell family's driver had been rude to Miranda.
He narrowed his eyes. It seemed that Miranda's situation in the family was not as good as she claimed.
It could be that she had been too mean toward the family's servants, thus the driver didn't give her the time of day whenever Mr. Quell was absent, leading to the situation he had witnessed.
