Chapter 117
Xavier’s heart was racing. When he realized that Yvette had wounds on her hands and legs, he dragged her into the car once more and told the driver to take them to the hospital.
Yvette sat in the car in fear, thinking about how impulsive she had been earlier. She couldn’t let anything happen to herself because she still had Noah and Zachary,
Xavier said with a long face, “Why are you angry?”
Yvette didn’t answer him; she was already in pain because of the wounds on her hands and legs. It was quiet in the car again. Xavier hated it when she refused to speak to him.
Yvette used to have a lot to say, especially when she had been younger. She had always spoken to him nonstop. However, she randomly stopped talking for seemingly no reason now.
He was frustrated. “Where were you going just now?”
“Nowhere. I just wanted to go for a walk.” He still had Noah, so there was nowhere she could go.
The driver stopped the car at a hospital’s entrance, and Xavier got out of the car with Yvette. They arrived at the surgical department, and he opened the door to enter the room.
“What brings you here, Xav?” A familiar voice sounded
Tristan was sitting in the room, dressed in a white coat. He didn’t look as dandy as usual; in fact, he appeared a lot more serious.
Xavier didn’t answer his question. “Why are you here?
Tristan couldn’t help but notice Yvette standing behind Xavier. He quickly retracted his gaze. “My grandfather wanted me to experience life here, so here I am.”
He had never been interested in medical studies, but Archibald had forced him to take it up. He had even picked up law and international business studies as well.
At that moment, Archibald hoped Tristan would be practical so that he could take over the family business one day.
Tristan wouldn’t have come to the hospital if Archibald hadn’t threatened to discuss his marriage with the Torres family. He didn’t know why Archibald liked Kiki so much that he wanted Tristan to marry
her.
When he thought about Kiki and the mischievous Zachary, he started to get a headache.
Xavier stopped asking about it and made Yvette stand in front of him. “Deal with her wounds.”
When Tristan heard that, his gaze fell on her, and he noticed the wounds on her hands and legs. “Have a seat here.” He looked professional as he worked.
Yvette knew Tristan wouldn’t dare do anything to her as long as Xavier was there. So, she took a seat and let him check her wounds.
After he took a good look at her, he took off his disposable gloves. “It isn’t serious. They’re all

superficial wounds.”
He asked the nurse to bring him some ointment. After she handed it to him, he prepared to apply it to Yvette’s body. However, Xavier stopped him. “Give me that.”
When Tristan heard that, he said, “It’s alright. I’ll apply it for her.”
Xavier was upset, and he was about to snatch the ointment from Tristan.
Yvette noticed the tension between the two men and grabbed the medicine from Tristan’s hand right away. “I’ll do it myself.”
She picked up a cotton swab and started tending her own wounds. The atmosphere in the room felt
weird.
