Tristan remained silent.
Before he could respond, he saw Zachary standing in front of him, handing over a piece of paper. It wrote, "If you want to keep me, I need 100 million dollars in allowance every day."
Tristan's lips curled into a cold smile.
Zachary claimed that he wasn't Tristan's son, and yet he was asking him for an allowance. And 100 million dollarsat that! The kid probably hadn't even seen 1,000 dollars before.
Tristan answered Yvette on the other end of the call, "I'll look into it. If he's not my son, I'll return him to Kiki and apologize."
After hanging up, Tristan looked at Zachary and remarked, "You've got quite the appetite. 100 million dollars a day? Can you even spend it all?"
"Mister, surely it's not because you don't have money?"
Tristan's mouth twitched slightly. 100 million dollars? Of course, he could come up with that.
"If I give it to you, what should you call me?"
Zachary's eyes curved into a smile. "I don't answer hypothetical questions. Also, I'm hungry. I need to eat. If you don't feed me, I'll go to court and tell the judge that my father didn't give me food."
Tristan was speechless. Soon, he glanced at the nanny and instructed, "Take him to eat something."
He had been completely defeated. It turned out that Zachary wasn't refusing to eat to spite him; he was just playing with his toys and deliberately leaving him hanging.
Tristan felt like he'd taken a massive hit.
…
At Dewberry Manor, Yvette relayed Tristan's response to Kiki. "Don't worry. Once the test results come back, he'll let Zac go."
Yvette had no idea why Tristan was so confident that he hadn't even considered taking Zachary for a paternity test.
"Yvvy, I should be the one comforting you, but here you are comforting me."
"It's okay," Yvette replied gently. "By the way, are you staying in a hotel now?"
