As Yvette spoke, she fell asleep without knowing it.
This time, Xavier was the one who couldn't sleep. All he could think of was what Jeremiah had said. "I'm the one she likes! I'm the one she wanted to marry!"
When he finally fell asleep, he dreamed about her leaving again. When he woke up, Yvette was still sleeping by his side, and it was dark outside.
Xavier couldn't sleep at all, so he got up to call Jeremiah. However, no one answered the call.
So, he could only call Shannon. "Mom, where's Jeremiah?"
"Jerry relapsed and is now receiving treatment. What's wrong?" she asked.
Xavier's gaze turned cold. "Nothing."
Then, he hung up. Shannon wanted to ask him about Yvette. When she noticed that the call had ended, she couldn't help but sigh. Then, she asked Mandy, "Has Zac returned to the kindergarten?"
"The director said he hadn't returned to the kindergarten after his father took him away a few days ago," the latter answered.
She frowned and thought about it. "Have you arranged a meet-up with Kiki?"
Mandy shook her head. "She said she didn't want to see us."
Shannon didn't know what to do anymore. When she didn't see Zachary a few days ago, she lost her appetite. "When can I finally have a grandchild?"
Jeremiah was weak, and Xavier didn't want a child at all. When Shannon thought about how someone else would inherit everything Xavier had fought for, she felt more upset.
"Ask the director who Zac's father is. I want to meet him."
"Alright."
Mandy immediately did as she was told. It only took her a short while to find out that the father was Tristan. Shannon was shocked, and she immediately told someone to bring him there.
