Yvette was stunned. Xavier had so many people in his family that she couldn't remember them all. There was no way he was an orphan.
However, she went with what Noah said to lie to him. "Yeah, that's right. That's why he's pitiful, and I have no choice but to keep him for now. Also, he's a strange man who says weird things all the time. So, don't believe what he says, alright?"
Noah was good at pretending, and he nodded with a trusting gaze. "Alright. Don't worry, Mom. I'll never believe what he says."
When she looked at his innocent gaze, she felt bad, thinking she shouldn't lie to him like that. However, she had no other choice.
From what she knew, Noah was a normal child like herself. Meanwhile, Zachary was like Xavier when it came to memory and intelligence. Sometimes, he would make an adult feel ashamed.
She thought Zachary was the only one who knew Xavier was his father and that Noah didn't know it yet. So, she decided to tell him the truth when he was older.
Yvette and Noah went straight back home. Upon reaching the house, he greeted everyone excitedly, bringing joy to the entire house.
When he saw Xavier, he also greeted the latter politely. "Long time no see, mister. I've missed you so much!"
If Xavier hadn't recovered part of his memories, he would've been tricked by Noah's innocent act. "How much did you miss me?" he asked.
Noah was stunned for a while before he said, "A lot! I've missed you so much that I would even think about you when I go to the toilet!"
Xavier immediately remembered how Noah had peed on him back then.
Yvette was almost done setting the dining table when she heard that. She thought something was off with what Noah had said.
Meanwhile, Zachary, who was typing on his keyboard, stopped what he was doing halfway. He realized that, other than Viola, there was another person who could go against Xavier.
