After saying that, Yvette prepared the bed. "I'll be sleeping on the couch tonight."
Xavier frowned. "You should sleep on the bed since you're pregnant."
She didn't expect him to be a gentleman at a time like this. Thinking about how it really was inconvenient for her since she was pregnant, she agreed to his suggestion.
After taking a shower, she lay on the huge bed, noticing that it smelled nice.
Xavier slept on the couch near her, and he didn't have a spot to place his long legs comfortably.
Yvette didn't manage to fall asleep for a long time after she turned off the lights.
When she closed her eyes, she would see Jeremiah's gentle face. She had a lot of questions on her mind, but she didn't know if she should ask them at all. She didn't know how long it took before she finally fell asleep.
The wind blew strongly outside. After sleeping for a short while, she suddenly woke up from a nightmare. "Xavier!" she instinctively called out.
A short while later, a big hand grabbed her hand. She didn't realize when Xavier had come to the side of the bed. "What's wrong?"
Her heart was racing, and she kept thinking about how everyone had been bullying her in her dream. She couldn't help taking a deep breath. "Nothing. I just had a nightmare."
When Xavier heard that, he got on the bed without any hesitation. Then, he held her in his embrace right away.
Yvette was stunned. Just as she was about to push him away, he said softly, "Don't be afraid. I'm here with you."
When she heard that, she felt calm for some reason. Then, she didn't say anything else and let him hold her however he wanted. After a long while, she couldn't resist asking, "Xavier, are you sure you only remember me?"
Xavier's heart skipped a beat, and he nodded. "Yeah."
After hearing a confirmation, she couldn't help asking again, "Do you really like me?"
