Unbreakable Love His Passion for Her Transcends Death novel Chapter 402

Xavier didn't look like he'd calmed down at all. In an attempt to get rid of the awkwardness, Yvette asked, "Aren't you supposed to be at work now?"

He looked even more upset now. After all, he hadn't even left the house to begin with. How could he possibly be at work at that moment? "I don't have work today."

"Oh. In that case, get some rest." Yvette stood up after saying that.

However, Xavier blocked her path. "Don't you have anything else to say to me?"

Yvette thought about last night and said, "No. I still have work to do, so I can't talk now."

Just as she was about to leave the room, he embraced her tightly. He gulped slightly and said, "Yvette, please remember that I'm not Jeremiah. I'll never be like him either."

Yvette was stunned, and she looked up at him. "Are your memories back?"

"No." Xavier placed his hand on her face and caressed her cheek. "I just don't like it when you treat me like someone else."

She avoided looking at him. "I'm not. I only called you the wrong name by accident."

"Is that so? That'd better be the case." It sounded like he was warning her.

Before Yvette could find out why he was suddenly being so fierce again, his phone started ringing. She immediately broke free from his arms as he moved to answer the call.

Leaving the room, she hurriedly went to the music room. Then, she closed the door and continued working on her music.

Xavier felt the emptiness in his arms and unhappily answered the call. "What's up?"

"Mr. Lane, I've noticed some people have been acting shady outside your house recently. I caught one of them today, and he said they were sent by Madam Shannon," said the bodyguard.

Xavier narrowed his eyes. "Did they say why she sent them?"

"I think she wanted them to keep their eyes on a child."

The only child there was Zachary at that moment. Xavier didn't understand why Shannon would want to keep tabs on him. He thought about it for a moment and said, "Send him back to Lane mansion."

"Understood."
