Yvette was a bit confused. "What do you mean?"
"Don't play dumb. Why would Jerry call you 'Yvvy' in private?" Zoey's eyes were filled with anger.
Yvette explained that they had known each other since they had been children.
Zoey, however, was not convinced things were that simple. "Tell me the truth. Are you trying to take Jerry away from me? Now that Xavier isn't good enough, you've set your sights on Jerry, haven't you?"
Yvette found her accusation ridiculous. She deadpanned, "I'm already married to Xavier. How could I possibly be trying to take Jeremiah from you?"
"Don't think I don't know you and Xavier have been having issues and are on the verge of divorce!" Zoey's mind was in turmoil, especially since Jeremiah had called out Yvette's name during such an intimate moment.
"No one can take my man from me, not even if you're Yara's daughter! Just wait and see." With that, Zoey stormed off in a huff.
Having long accepted that she and Jeremiah were never going to be together, Yvette didn't take her words to heart.
Back in her room, Yvette started packing her things to return home. She was worried about Viola and Noah being alone in Sangine County.
Xavier was helping her pack when Yvette said, "Your brother just got engaged. Don't you want to stay a bit longer?"
"No, I'll go home with you."
"Okay." Yvette nodded.
They soon finished packing. Early the next morning, they bid farewell to Shannon and prepared to leave. As they drove out, snowflakes began to fall.
When they were at the gate, the driver suddenly stopped the car and rolled down the window.
Yvette saw Jeremiah standing in the heavy snowfall. He briskly walked up to the car and handed a bag to her.
