Jeremiah hadn't looked away from Yvette since she'd arrived. He got up and greeted, "Xav. Yvette."
She politely smiled at him. When Zoey saw that, she was furious. She suppressed the anger in her and greeted them as well, "Yvette. Xavier."
Xavier ignored her. After Yvette sat down, he sat next to her. Since there were other people around, Yvette didn't want to humiliate Zoey. So, she answered the latter with a hum.
When Zoey got back in her seat, she purposely grabbed Jeremiah's arm. "Jerry, Xavier and Yvette's son sure is adorable."
Jeremiah froze, and he looked disgusted. He quietly removed her hand from his arm and looked at Noah. As he'd expected, Noah looked exactly like Xavier.
Shannon also kept her eyes on Noah when they entered the room. Although Yvette had said that Noah wasn't Xavier's son, she still didn't believe it.
If the children truly belonged to Claude, why would one stay with Yvette while the other stayed with Kiki? Also, Zachary's last name was Snyder, and it didn't make sense to Shannon at all.
"Come and sit next to Grandma, Noah." Shannon was being kind for once.
When Noah heard that, he asked, "Who are you? My grandma died a while ago."
Everyone at the table was stunned, and Shannon's friendly face froze immediately. Then, she coldly looked at Yvette. "Did you teach him that? Did you make him think I was dead?"
Yvette had a feeling that she was being targeted for no reason. Just as she was about to explain that Noah was referring to Viola, he protected her.
"Why are you talking to my mom like that, you old lady? My grandma is really dead, and you're not my grandma at all. So, why would you say she made me think you were dead?"
Shannon had never been called an old lady in her life before. "What… What did you call me?"
"Old lady! How else would I address you? Don't you dare bully my mom just because you're old!"
