It was snowing heavily in Tirion, especially after the festival.
In her rented apartment, Daphne couldn't help but feel upset while she looked at the people outside having fun. She could've been standing in the spotlight outside as well, but she couldn't do it because of Yvette.
When she noticed the trending news had been removed, she clenched her phone tightly.
"I've finally gotten to where I am today. Am I going to become a nobody again?"
At that moment, her phone started ringing. She took a look at it and saw it was Jeremiah calling her. Daphne immediately tensed up. "Hello, Mr. Jeremiah."
"You have the photos and trending news now. When are you going to see Yvette?" He couldn't wait any longer.
"Mr. Jeremiah, it isn't that I don't want to see her. I'm just afraid."
"About what?"
"Tristan has been visiting Xavier a lot. I'm worried about being seen by him…"
She wanted someone to back her up and make her feel safe. Jeremiah had only made her hide in a corner of the city and pretend to be dead. She'd had enough of it.
At first, she didn't understand why Jeremiah would want her to break Xavier and Yvette up. However, she had realized what was going on at that moment. Jeremiah liked Yvette! Since that was the case, she had to make full use of him.
Jeremiah wasn't a fool either. He knew what she was implying. "Don't worry. With me around, Tristan wouldn't dare to do anything to you when he sees you."
"Good. In that case, I'll proceed with our plans tomorrow."
"Okay." Then, he ended the call.
Just as Jeremiah was about to ask Jackie to bring him a glass of water in the office, he remembered that he'd told her to take a break. So, he had no choice but to ask his secretary instead.
