"Is that how much we have to pay?" Aaron was in disbelief.
"What do you think? You would always donate your money or use it to have fun. Now, we're incapable of paying them at all." Joel sighed.
Aaron asked him to calculate how much they needed to pay. They would only be able to pay the compensation by selling the house they were currently living in.
"In that case, sell the house." Assets like houses and cars weren't that important to Aaron.
"You're kidding me!"
Joel ignored him and started searching for companies that were willing to work with them. However, those companies had seen the news as well, and they all thought Aaron was about to meet his downfall. They said they would only talk about a partnership after the mess was resolved.
When Joel asked IM Enterprise, they finally had a different response.
"The contract will last for three years, and our company can take care of all the negative news online for Aaron," Mark answered the call himself.
Joel agreed to the contract without asking Aaron about it at all. He did his research on IM Enterprise as well, and they had been doing great recently. Their platform was suitable for climbing up again.
Aaron didn't know Xavier was the man behind the company. Since Joel had already agreed to the contract, he could only helplessly accept it.
"Let's check out IM Enterprise today."
"Sure." Aaron nodded in annoyance.
…
Meanwhile, Mark told Xavier about the three-year contract at IM Enterprise. It meant that Aaron would be working under Xavier for three years.
Xavier looked aloof as he put away the document in his hands. "When will he be here?"
"This afternoon."
