Libby and Nolan exchanged a glance. They wondered secretly what made Miss Kara hate Mr. James so much. She slapped Mr. James so hard that his face was already swollen.
Kara felt a burning sensation in her hand, and she thought she was still dreaming. She frowned and reached out to touch his handsome face.
The warmth was too real. She then cast her eyes on his lips, as well as a bite mark left by her there.
She felt as if her eyes were stung. She shook off his face and sat up defensively.
"I'm ... I'm so sorry! I... I didn't mean it."
Hearing her hoarse voice, even if James wanted to vent his anger, he had already cooled down when he saw the frightened look on her face.
The anger in his brown eyes had gradually disappeared, but his voice was still cold and sullen.
Only then did Kara realize that there were several people standing in her room. There was also a stranger with a medical kit.
"Are you feeling better now?"
Hearing James ask the question softly, she stared at him blankly still in shock.
It took her a while to feel that she was dizzy and that she might be sick.
"I feel dizzy."
Thinking of that she had slapped Uncle James in front of so many people, she was so embarrassed that she slid her little head under the blanket.
Seeing that her fair little face was still pink, James turned to look at Will. Will had no choice but to step forward to take her temperature. Seeing that the data of her body were much better than before, he followed Nolan out.
"I have cooked you some porridge. I will bring it to you after you take some medicine."
Looking at Kara, Libby felt sorry for her. She did not see her get up until quite late in the morning, so she knocked on the door, only to find that there was no response. It was not until then did she panic. As she saw the girl lying in bed whose face was pale, she was so scared that she almost knelt down on her knees.
She hurriedly called Mr. James and asked Will to come to save Kara.
Seeing Nolan and the doctor leaving the room, Libby did not dare to stay any longer. She also turned around to go downstairs.
There were only two people left in the room. Kara got out of from under her blanket and saw James standing beside the bed, uprightly, like a pine tree.
"Uncle James, I'm sorry. I just had a nightmare."
James looked at her in surprise. When she slapped him, he thought that she was taking revenge for what he had done yesterday, so he suppressed his anger.
Hearing her explanation, he finally found out that it was because she had had a nightmare.
