Although Sophia had never seen James, she heard a lot about him. When he went into the ward, she already suspected that if he was James, the president of SA Group and her future son-in-law.

But when she heard Kara called his name proudly, she was still shocked.

James had a good figure. He was tall and extraordinarily handsome. With a noble temperament, he looked domineering and indifferent.

But she would be his mother-in-law. Why didn't he flatter her?

"Hello, Mr. James. What a coincidence! I'm Kathleen's mother. Kara is sick. I'm worried about her, and I cooked soup for her."

"Do you know what's in the soup?"

Sophia was puzzled at his question. She had said she was Kathleen's mother, why did he still talk with her in such a cold voice?

"Of course, I know. I picked the ingredients myself. It took me two hours to cook it," Sophia said with confidence.

James sneered.

With a snort, he said, "Then, surely you know the effect of the soup!"

Sophia face froze. What James had said was meaningful. Did he know her intentions?

"James, you and Kathleen will get engaged soon. Kathleen has been talking about you these days," Sophia said. To change the topic and remind James of who she was, Sophia called his name kindly.

However, James didn't care about her at all. He continued, "Kara is important to me. Ms. Sophia, you are an elder. You better not go too far!"

As he said with a scary tone, Sophia was freaked out and took a few steps back. Her face was pale.

Seeing her guilty look, Will threw the lunch box and the soup in it into the trash can in disgust.

"You must have spent a lot of money on it. Ms. Sophia, I advise you not to hurt Kara anymore, or you will suffer the consequences. Is that clear?"

Sophia watched Will throw the soup away and felt bitter. The soup itself didn't cost too much. But what she added to it was expensive.

However, since James was here, she did not dare to do anything else.

In fact, Sophia wasn't afraid that Kara would know what she had done and try to find the truth since she was able to excuse herself.

But things were different now. With James backing up her, Kara could get Sophia into trouble if she refused to let go of it.
