Chapter 68 Mr. Jones’s Love At First Sight
Upon hearing Abigail’s words, Tony immediately took advantage of the situation and said, “Hmph, she was just trying to get everyone’s attention and brought those fake elixir pills on purpose. How dare you use fake pills to fool Samuel? Get out immediately.”
Samuel was so angry that he immediately stood up. “Who are you telling to get out? Julian’s wife meticulously prepared a gift for me out of filial. Others might have deceived her though these pills are fake. “There are so many swindlers in the world. It’s inevitable for kind people to be deceived. You’ve lived so long. but you’ve never been deceived?
“You’re almost 60 years old now. Didn’t you got cheated more than 60 thousand dollars two years ago? If you want to chase her away just because she got cheated on, you must be the first to get out!”
When Annalise heard that Old Mr. Parks was so protective of her, she was so touched.
She thought of how Joseph had protected her.
When she was 17 years old, she gave a patient acupuncture. In fact, she was already making a last-ditch effort. She spent a lot of effort and mental strength, but in the end, she could not save him.
She couldn’t accept such an outcome and cry on the spot.
The patient’s family rushed over and scolded her, saying she had caused someone’s death. They said that they had seen her stab someone to death with their own eyes. They said the patient wouldn’t have died if it weren’t for her, and he would still be alive.
Joseph scolded the patient’s family. He said, “My disciple’s medical skills are better than mine. If she can’t save someone, no one can.”
Joseph scolded them for being blind and chased them out.
They said they were going to sue her. Joseph put his hands on his waist and roared, “Go sue this old man immediately if you want.”
In the end, the patient’s family did not sue her, but she would never forget how Joseph protected her.
