Chapter 93 I Will Crush Annalise
When Julian saw Abigail’s red face, he knew that she must have been humiliated by Annie or John. Haha!
Alexander was surprised to see Abigail. “Why did you come out?”
“I came out for something. Alexander, please come with me.” After saying that, Abigail took the lead and walked towards the elevator. She did not even bother to take off her white coat.
Alexander followed Abigail into the elevator.
There were many people in the elevator, so Abigail couldn’t say anything.
After going straight down to the first floor, she walked straight to the parking lot. After getting into the car, she said, “Do you know who Jonathan Woods is?”
“Stop making me guess,” Alexander said impatiently.
Abigail said right away, “He’s Annalise’s godbrother, lan…”
“That’s impossible!” Alexander interrupted.
How could such a young man be Jonathan Woods? Jonathan was a 51-year-old man.
He recalled the time he ate at his grandfather’s. When the man introduced himself, he said, “I am Jo… lan Lawrence Princeville Village.”
There was a pause after he said the word “Jo”.
So, was lan Lawrence really Jonathan Woods?
Damn it!
At that time, Alexander had an opportunity to get close to Jonathan, but he did not put it to good use.
Fortunately, he did not offend Jonathan.
Suddenly, he looked at Abigail with a cold expression.
“Alexander, what… what’s wrong?” Abigail asked anxiously.
Alexander narrowed his eyes. “So, Jonathan chased you out of the operating theater?”
Abigail’s eyes flickered rapidly. “No, he did not.”
“Tell me the truth!” Alexander’s voice suddenly became stern.
Abigail lowered her head. “He said that the operating theater is too small to accommodate that many people. The light was blocked.”
Alexander sneered. “There are so many people in the room. No one else needed to come out but you? You were the one who spent a million dollars to get in there. Tell me, how did you offend him?”
“I didn’t offend him. It’s Annalise who didn’t like me. She said there was no need for so many people to be in the operating theater. Then, she told me to leave.” Abigail immediately blamed Annalise.
In Alexander’s opinion, Abigail’s explanation was still reasonable.
Alexander suddenly smiled. He was smiling, but his smile sent a chill up Abigail’s spine. He said, “Abbie, tell me, why is this happening? You’re the Bartons’ precious daughter. You’ve enjoyed all the best resources since you were young. The Barton family trained you in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting. Annalise is a bumpkin who was left to rot in a village in the countryside. Her mother is dead, and her father is unknown. Why are you always the one who loses to her? Why do I have to be embarrassed by you every time? Tell me, why do I need to keep someone like you?”
Abigail was so frightened. Fear was written all over her face. She didn’t dare to make eye contact with Alexander. She quickly weighed her current situation in her mind.
If she still lived in Horington, marrying Benjamin Quigley would be the best outcome of her life.
