Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 630

That night, when Linda saw Rhett enter the Killian residence, she quickly pulled him to their bedroom. In a whisper, she said, "Darling, I've brought you good news today! I've gotten rid of the matter regarding the drugs. No one will ever bring it up again!"

Lately, Karen had her men look into the matter, which made the members of the family anxious. Even Rhett himself became wary all the time, fearing that he might make a slip of the tongue.

His eyes lit up in delight after hearing what Linda said. "How did you do it?"

"The person behind it was Roman, and he's dead now." Linda's voice was low when she spoke. She proceeded to tell him everything that had happened that day.

As Rhett listened, a sinister smile crept onto his face, and he slid an arm around Linda's waist. "That's wonderful. But you still need to fan the flames. We'll be rid of suspicion for good only after everyone believes that Roman's the one behind the incident."

"Don't worry," Linda told him slyly. "Consider it done."

She had just finished talking when a maid knocked on the door. "Mr. Rhett, Ms. Linda, Mr. Chad wishes to see you both."

Rhett and Linda glanced at each other in confusion before smoothing their clothes and leaving for Chad's house.

The atmosphere in the living room was bleak and ominous. Chad had just learned that Roman committed suicide and was pronounced dead.

Still unable to snap out of his misery, Chad already started seeing threads and tags like "heir of the Killian family commits suicide" and "cowardly heir commits suicide" becoming trending topics on different social media platforms.

"Who spread the news?" His voice boomed across the room.

No one spoke. The silence was equally deafening.

Everyone knew how much Chad hated it when family members hurt and mistreated each other for personal gain. They feared that the more they spoke, the angrier he would become.

Seeing how no one had the guts to speak, Linda took the opportunity to carry out her plan.

"Maybe some reporters discovered it and spread it online. We called the ambulance this afternoon, after all. You know how thirsty those reporters are for gossip. Besides, it was a public hospital, and Hera took part in resuscitating Roman. Maybe some people weren't happy about it and started spreading it."

Chad's expression was dark when he finally spoke, "Why didn't any of you stop it from spreading?"
