Unrivaled Dragon Lord novel Chapter 49

"You dug it out?" Greta got shocked for one second, then she looked at Maxwell’s smile, she sneered disdainfully.

"I would believe you if you say the blood diamond was swept by you," Greta said with an ironic smile while raising her arms crossing against her breast.

How could Greta believe what Maxwell said? Blood diamonds were extremely valuable. Even a sub-diamond of the worst quality was still worth millions, which not so many people could afford.

And Maxwell just said that he was the one dug out such a precious treasure. How shameless he was!

She would never believe him!

Maxwell smiled indifferently and did not care to say more. When Maxwell was on a secret mission in South Africa, he happened to meet a friend of his in South Africa and helped him dig out the blood diamond. The reason why he could be so confident to talk about blood diamonds in front of Young Master Sandoval was that he dug it out himself. Of course, he knew a lot about it.

Even when the blood diamonds were shipped to the auction in South Africa, Maxwell was the one who escorted all the way. Compared to Maxwell, Young Master Sandoval’s understanding of the blood diamonds was superficial.

Maxwell did not argue. He knew that even if he said anything, Greta would not believe him...

Half an hour later, the Maybach S-Class stopped at the door of the villa. Maxwell opened the door for Greta. She got off the car and walked into the villa.

After Maxwell parked the car, he followed along and walked in. then he saw Harriet sitting on the sofa watching TV, holding a fruit plate in her hand, and enjoying the sweetness and juiciness of imported fruits.

"How's it going?" Harriet asked when seeing Greta’s annoyed expression.

"Ask him!" Greta let out a cold snort before walking upstairs.

"President Greta met Young Master Sandoval at the party," Maxwell said.

Maxwell and Harriet chatted briefly before he walked into his bedroom. He closed the door, took out his phone, and dialed a number.

"Boss, when can I go back? I'm tired of Ocean City. I have gone to all the bars in Ocean City." An innocent voice from a young man came from the other end of the phone.

"Don't talk nonsense. Have you found the killer who assassinated my wife?" Maxwell snorted and shouted out.

"This... Boss, it's so hard to detect. I checked for a long time. There are countless noble families in Beijing. And those assassin killers have contacted too many of those families. I have no idea where to start." The young man complained.

"I'll give you a clue now. Check the Sandoval family in Ocean City. Also, Young Master Sandoval came to Ocean City already." After Maxwell finished speaking, he hung up the phone.

One weekend, Maxwell cooked breakfast as usual. After he finished it, Greta, Harriet, and Leila went downstairs one after another.

As usual, Leila was the first one who came downstairs, Harriet was the second one. When Leila almost finished the breakfast, Greta came down slowly with a pair of sandals.

After Greta came down, she glanced at the table and found that there was only one seat available which was the one next to Maxwell. She frowned and thought for a while, and finally walked to Maxwell’s side and sat down.

"Greta, try this. This is my new recipe: black pepper chicken sandwich." Maxwell graciously smiled, picked up a piece carefully cooked sandwich, and put it on Greta's plate.

Greta looked at Maxwell and said coldly, "Call me President Greta!"

"Ok, ok." Maxwell smiled, and after Greta took a bite of the sandwich, he muttered privately, "You are my wife. And we are not outside now."

"What did you say?" Suddenly, Greta asked.

"Nothing." Maxwell smiled awkwardly. Greta stared at him suspiciously for a while. Maxwell got a relief. Fortunately, Greta didn't hear what he said...

"Greta, watch TV." Harriet suddenly said.

Greta looked up and saw a report being broadcasted on TV.

"There is a charity auction tonight. Will you go?" Harriet smiled lightly.

Greta stared at the super luxurious TV screen for a moment, and uttered a word, decisively.

"Yes."

After breakfast, Maxwell walked out of the villa and saw Leila running around the villa. Maxwell glanced at her. Leila had a great figure. Because of exercise, she had no extra fat on her body. These long and slender legs were full of power.

"Leila, you start exercising so early." Maxwell chased after Leila with a smile.

Leila had no good impression of him. She glanced at Maxwell for one second and said, "It’s not your business?"

"What a coincidence! I also exercise every day. Weirdly, I never got the chance to meet you." Maxwell smiled.

Leila frowned. She had never seen Maxwell exercise before. How dared him to lie in front of her!

Leila stopped paying attention to Maxwell. She was sure he was just trying to flirt with her.
