The soft lighting in the dining room was like a thin veil, gently covering everyone’s face.
Aylin’s light makeup was classical and elegant. It was called soft shine, and it made her skin look as fair as jade. When it fell on the faces of Jacquelyn and Haleigh, it illuminated their expressions wonderfully.
Jacquelyn’s eyes widened when she saw the amount on the bill.
There was nothing particularly strange about the dishes on the table, so how could they cost 45,000 dollars!
But she had already bragged about it.
Haleigh looked at Jacquelyn awkwardly. “I can’t help you.”
Aylin crossed her arms and looked at them with a faint smile on her face.
“Miss, are there any problems with the bill?” The waitress stepped forward and held up the card machine with a smile.
“No.”
Jacquelyn gritted her teeth and swiped the card furiously.
She looked at Aylin and wanted to say something angrily. Suddenly, there was a series of footsteps coming from the door. She heard it before she saw it.
“Ayl.”
Every table in Deli Restaurant was private and separated by a curtain. When the man lifted the curtain and came in, the whole space was amazed.
He was tall and thin, and it was hard to hide his posture even if he was wearing mask. His eyes were bright and clear, and he looked amorous when his eyes moved.
Even though Jacquelyn had seen many handsome men, she could not help but be slightly distracted by him.
When Aylin saw Harry come in with a young girl, the coldness on her face. instantly melted.
“Have you parked your car?”
“It’s parked. I was looking for a space, and it took me a while.”
As he spoke, he tucked a strand of hair behind Aylin’s ear and said in a low voice with a smile, “Today’s gown suits you very well.”
Aylin smiled. In Jacquelyn’s eyes, this scene was just an act of shyness.
She bit her lower lip hard, her face ashen.
She knew that Gavyn’s ex-wife should be a bumpkin. Even if she met her one day, she would trample her hard into the mud.
How could she have such a handsome man by her side!
Jacquelyn tightened her grip on her glass and said sarcastically, “I thought that the owner of the restaurant must be something special. I didn’t expect that she relied on men.”
She went on to say, “Women, it’s better to be independent. After all, relying on men ultimately means sacrificing one’s self-respect.”
Haleigh pursed her lips and agreed, saying, “That’s the way it has always been. She can’t do anything but seduce men. She’s just a restless woman!”
In her perception, even if Aylin was the daughter of the Koch family, she was just an ignorant fool. Could she run the most famous restaurant in New York on her own?
Haleigh didn’t believe it.
When Aylin was in the Delacruz family, she only knew how to do the laundry and cooking. She didn’t know anything about high-end things, let alone running a business!
Harry was tidying Aylin’s hair when he heard that and glanced over.
The aura in front of him was sharp.
Haleigh was startled. He looked familiar, but for a moment, she couldn’t remember where she had seen him before.
She gritted her teeth and said to the man, “I’m not wrong. You’re with such a promiscuous woman. Aren’t you afraid that she will cheat on you?”
Aylin curled her lips and glanced at her.
To be honest, she felt sorry for them. Even their imagination was lacking.
But reluctantly, she was willing to act.
