Vampire Lover novel Chapter 6

The black Maybach cruised down a quiet street, a beautiful place with fresh air. It was like one would absolutely be in a good mood just looking at this view.

Avril got out of the car. She raised her head and closed her eyes. She sniffed in the fresh air, enjoying the faint scent of autumn's breeze. She felt more relaxed now, as if the problems constricting her heart had vastly dissipated.

The first thing that caught her attention was a European-styled villa with white walls and a red-tiled roof. There was a fence around a small yard. The yard was filled with flowers and plants, including some wild roses, chamomile flowers, China Roses, and other plants. Although the flowers had withered in the late autumn, their wilted appearance still gave off a sense of desolate beauty.

Avril turned around to look at Haider. His facial features were so perfect, as if he was a gift from God. His perfection was so breathtaking that she could only use the word 'Sinful' to describe him.

"Is this the new house you prepared?" Her voice was sweet, like taking a bite of a fresh juicy peach.

Haider chuckled as he nodded gently. "I'll show you around."

Avril hesitated. "But this is the house you prepared for someone else. Isn't it inappropriate for me to go in just like that?"

"What does she mean by that?" Haider was perplexed.

He stopped in his tracks and his smile froze. "Where did the idea come from?"

"Wasn't it? Did I make a wrong guess?" Avril thought to herself.

She smiled awkwardly. "I'm sorry. I was just making a wild guess."

"Is that so?" He thought.

After hearing this, the man raised his eyebrows and pushed the door of the yard open. His legs looked slim and long in slacks, and she caught a glimpse of the smooth lines of his thigh muscles as he walked.

"This is the place my grandmother prepared for her future granddaughter-in-law. She's been waiting for me to open the door to this house for a long time."

Haider stopped at the door of the villa. He turned around to look at Avril, who was standing in the yard, still confused. "I'm sure my grandmother would like you very much," Haider said with a gentle tone.

Avril stood still awkwardly, not saying a word.

How should she answer? Would it be too polite to say thank you?
