Two days passed and Veronica was feeling so burned out.
Bael Force had been facing troubles lately that she couldn't even find time to talk to her twins and even to think about Rawlf.
Or so she thought.
Everytime she would take time to rest or nap or sleep, her thoughts would end up drifting to the man and his last words would echo in her mind.
She knew where to find him but then what?
What is she going to tell him?!
She's not yet ready to tell him the truth about their children.
Her insecurities' eating her heart out. She's at a loss and now that Bael Force had been facing a lot of troubles, she considered it as a blessing in disguise as she had been very busy that she would temporarily forget about the dilemma she put herself in.
After two days of not sleeping well and finally, after completing a strategy of safeguarding Bael Force from further attacks and to prevent losses, which proves to be effective, Veronica decided to go back to her suite to have a proper rest.
Well, she could do that in Bael Force HQ as she has her own luxurious bedroom inside her office but she missed Rawlf so much that she could only come back to her suite to at least smell his scent on the pillow and to somehow alleviate her longing for him.
"Pardon my intrusion, lady, but are you fine? I think you should take a proper rest as you look so pale right now." Zero's words brought Veronica back from her deep thoughts.
Veronica straightened her back from reclining and moved to get ready, "'I'm alright. I'll return to my suite tonight. Contact me right away if another trouble or attack will happen."
Zero, afraid to sound even more intrusive than he is already, no longer says anything and just bowed and afterwards, walked out of his Lady Cleopatra's office.

Midnight.
Soft and gentle footsteps could be heard inside Veronica's suite. Then, the woman's bedroom door opened gently.
Veronica was on high alert ever since she heard the soft click of her suite's door.
The death of the night plus her years as an assassin in the underworld made her hearing sense increase that she right away heard the opening of the door.
Veronica was already hiding the gun on her left hand she carefully pulled out earlier under the bed's soft foam. Now she waited patiently yet on high alert to the intruder's next action.
The only thing she guessed would be her disadvantage is when the attacker would choose to shoot her in her "sleep".
Her quick reflex is her only hope to help her in this situation so Veronica stilled, calmed her breathing and fully allerted all her senses.
But after inhaling the unique scent of the man she longed for, for days, Veronica's tense body started to relax.
