Chapter 1081
Seeing that their women were engrossed in the mobile game, Elliot and Howard did not want to dampen their spirits, so they waited silently.
One scratched his nose and glanced at the moon while the other idly fiddled with his wristwatch.
After standing and waiting for several minutes, they finally heard the game announce that Sheena and Phoebe were defeated.
Sheena and Phoebe sighed in disappointment and began discussing their post–match analysis.
“Phoebe, you shouldn’t have focused on farming in the bottom lane earlier. You should have come to the river for a gank. Killing the enemy’s Midas would have been more rewarding than those few minions you were farming. We still had a chance to turn the game around.”
Phoebe nodded in understanding. “Okay, let’s start over. Can I follow your lead this time?”
The two agreed instantly, ready to start another game.
Elliot cleared his throat forcefully, trying to get their attention.
Howard glanced at him and then coughed loudly, his voice even louder than Elliot’s.
The two girls looked up in annoyance, only to see their respective men coming to pick them up.
Sheena asked, “Honey, why did you come over too?”
Elliot’s tone was gentle, but his expression was as dark as the night.
“Do you even
you even realize what time it is? If I hadn’t come to get you, were you planning on staying out all night?
Sheena belatedly closed the game interface and checked the time, finally realizing they had lost track of time while playing.
It was already past 9 p.m.
Nighttime was the peak period for her manic episodes, and staying out late was too risky, especially since she had not told her family about her condition yet.
If she played for a few more hours and Phoebe witnessed her episode, it would be frightening for her.
She put away her phone and asked Phoebe, “Phoebe, are you feeling better now?”
Phoebe nodded. “I had a great time playing with you tonight, but…”
Her smile faded as she glanced nervously at Howard nearby, anxiously fiddling with her clothes.
Howard was surely angry, right?
Indeed, Howard was furious.
After all, Phoebe wandered out to this remote wilderness late at night–what if she encountered some

dangerous person?
He regretted not being more vigilant about her safety.
Seemingly increasingly angry, Howard took a few steps forward and tightly gripped Phoebe’s wrist.
“Let’s go, let’s not disturb them anymore. We’re going home.”
His grip
firm, and Phoebe could feel his anger, but she could not break free from his grasp.
She could only be led away by him, casting fearful glances back at Sheena, silently pleading for help.
Receiving Phoebe’s distress signal, Sheena felt torn.
This was, after all, a matter between an engaged couple, and she did not want to interfere.
All she could do was try to mediate. “Howard, Phoebe struggles with her studies. Please be patient with her and boost her confidence. Try not to be too harsh on her and talk about this when you get home.”
Howard grunted in response, his voice deep and heavy. “Fine, I got it.”
With that said, he forcefully led Phoebe to his luxury car.
The roar of the engine broke the silence of the night, and they disappeared into the moonlit darkness.
Sheena sighed, worried about how Howard would handle things when they got home and how he would
comfort the upset Phoebe.
Elliot seemed to sense her concern and abruptly interrupted her thoughts.
“Nana, don’t worry about it. This is between them. We shouldn’t and can’t interfere.”
Sheena nodded, knowing it was true, but she still felt uneasy.
“Howard seemed really angry tonight. Do you think he’ll argue with Phoebe when they get back?”
“He probably won’t,” Elliot reassured her, gently taking her hand and leading her back.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
