“Let me guess, you’ve had an epiphany and want to impregnate me so that we remarry?” Sheena smiled mockingly. Apart from sarcasm and coldness, her eyes had no other emotion. 

Elijah’s heart ached. He was unsurprised that the bodyguards overheard Faye’s words that day and conveyed them to Sheena. Even so, he would never stoop to such despicable actions.

Elijah bitterly smiled. He understood her character, yet he could not let go. He had to try, even if it meant letting his heart ache a little more.

Sheena raised an eyebrow slightly and teased, “So, if I marry someone else in the future, you’d be fine watching us show off our love every day?”
