Chapter 854
Elisa pursed her lips and didn't say anything.
Will smiled. "That's good."
Silence resumed, and everything looked normal.
But...
There was something strange about the air in the house because of Will's sudden appearance.
However, Will didn't notice anything weird. He started speaking, and Rachel and Sheena were very interested. They began replying and subconsciously chattered away with Will.
Elisa pursed her lips, occasionally listening to what they were saying.
It had to be said that Will brought up interesting conversation topics. He was a good conversationalist. It captivated his listeners even when he talked about something as dull as finance.
But Elisa didn't plan on chatting with him. She said calmly, "I'm a little tired, so I'm going to rest. Go on without me."
Will said at once, "Go and rest. It's getting late, so I'll leave. Call me any time if you need anything."
Elisa nodded. "Alright."
Will knew Elisa didn't want him to stay, but he didn't think much of it.
It wasn't easy to have a breakthrough with Elisa when she had such a personality.
But he believed that he would have a breakthrough with her one day.
Will left just like that.
"You're amazing! That's great insight," Rachel said as she gave Elisa a thumbs up. At the same time, she said in exasperation, "Sometimes, I think that being alone is great, but sometimes I feel like having a husband would be pretty good too."
Sheena looked down slightly and tried to hide her pain. Her voice was calm as she said, "You just haven't met the right person yet. Once you do, you'll be happy that you have a lifelong companion."
She wanted to be with Carle for the rest of their lives, but to no avail... She wasn't the right person for Carle.
He had never liked her.
When Sheena thought about it, she seemed to get sadder.
Rachel and Elisa could sense it, but they couldn't console her at that moment.
If they said too much, it would make her overthink, and she would get more upset.
