We Will Collide Someday by Scarlett Sanchez novel Chapter 304

Chapter 304 He Has Been Missing for a Week

For a moment, the atmosphere was awkward.

Rebekah and Jason pulled long faces. Alexa could tell that they were angry.

However, Giselle was not frightened at all. Instead, she sat on the side with an unhappy face.

At last, Keyon broke the deadlock.

"Rebekah, Jason, it's rare to see you here. Why don't we take the opportunity to get together?"

"Thanks, Mr. Duran. But I don't think Mrs. Duran is happy to see us here," Rebekah politely refused.

Rebekah mocked Giselle subtly several times in just a few minutes, humiliating Giselle more each time.

"I think there might be some misunderstanding." Keyon was still polite. "I wonder if you can give me and Giselle a chance to apologize to you."

"Keyon..."

Giselle said angrily. Just as she was about to say something, she stopped, as she met Keyon's cold eyes.

"No need. Goodbye." Rebekah held Alexa's hand.

After that, she and Jason left with Alexa without looking back.

After getting in the car, Alexa said to them tentatively.

"Dad, Mom, I'm sorry. I'm putting you out again.’

"Alexa, why do you say that?” Jason's gaze immediately became warm.

"Rebekah and I wanted to meet that arrogant Ms. Niebergall in person in the first place."

"She is nothing but a joke." Rebekah was full of disdain.

Alexa wanted to say something, but in the end, she just shook her head.

"In fact, I don't care about her at all. She can't do anything."

"She needs to know that there are certain people that she can't afford to mess with." Rebekah narrowed her eyes. "Otherwise, she will be completely out of control sooner or later."

"Sure, Mom."

Alexa nodded. Her heart was warm.

When they got home, Terrence immediately called Alexa.

"Are you home yet?"

"Yes. I came back with Rebekah and Jason."

"I always feel that your hands and feet are very cold. Why don't we go to the hot spring tonight?"

Terrence asked in anticipation, his tone even carrying a cautious probing tone.

He was like a boy who had just fallen in love.

Alexa chuckled, and the exhaustion deep down vanished.

"Great. Shall I wait for you at home?"

"OK. I'll come back as soon as possible."

They lived happily and peacefully, just like a normal couple.

However, the truth might say otherwise.

Alexa stared at her phone screen for a long time, sitting alone on the swing in the backyard garden.

She just talked to Keyon.

She had to leave this time. It was just a matter of time.

And when would she be back?

Alexa looked at the withered red roses not far away. His eyes were a little sore, dry, and painful.

Finley told her that the treatment this time was full of uncertainties, so the consequences were unpredictable.

However, she had no choice. It was her only hope.

When Alexa returned to the country this time, she wanted a clean break from everything, yet things went contrary to her wishes.

She couldn't stick to the end, after all.

Alexa looked helplessly at the foggy sky. Her phone rang again.

It was Lilah this time.

"Dr. Bisley?"

"Ms. Duran, have you heard from Dr. Powell?"

Lilah sounded hasty. Alexa did not react for a while.

"What? We haven't talked in a while."

"Do you have any idea where he might have gone? He has been missing for a week. Yesterday was supposed to be his check-up for his manic depression, but he still didn't show up," Lilah continued.

Missing... Manic depression...

These words kept lingering in Alexa's mind. Somehow, she felt a bit dizzy.

"I don't know."

"Have you been like this for the past few days?"

"Yes."

"Dr. Bisley couldn't reach you. She has been worried sick. So, I'm here."

"OK."

No matter what Alexa said, Kieran would respond softly, but that was all.

She stared at him quietly and realized that Kieran was trembling slightly.

"The floor is cold. Get up, OK?"

"Are you here to pity me?"

"No. I was just worried about you," Alexa answered truthfully.

Kieran was always a reliable, polite elite in front of Alexa. He made her think that he was so powerful to the point that... he would never get hurt.

Yet now, he looked so hurt.

"Have you eaten? Are you hungry?"

'What's the date today?"

"Today is the 24th."

Alexa replied as she picked up the shopping bag and went to the kitchen.

"I bought some ingredients. Dinner will be ready soon."

Kieran was still sitting in the corner, quiet as if he would vanish at any second.

"Today is the 24th already..."

Only then did Alexa notice that there was a scar on his arm.

After fixing something, she found the first aid kit.

His wound had not scabbed yet. It looked fresh.

"It might hurt a little. Bear with it."

Hearing herself, Alexa pursed her lips helplessly.

The person in front of her was the most excellent medical expert in New York, but now it seemed that she was the doctor.

"How did you get the wound?"
