Chapter 325 Don't Blame Me for Being Harsh

Terrence panicked in an instant and rushed out of the cabin with Alexa in his arms.

It was tense and depressing in the operating room of Butterness Hospital in the middle of the night.

Terrence stood alone outside the operating room and uneasily took over a dozen documents handed over by the nurse.

When he signed, Terrence's hands were as cold as ice.

"Please do your best." Terrence rarely said something like this. "You must not let anything happen to her."

Under Terrence's firm tone, there was great uneasiness and fear.

"Don't worry, Mr. Ramsey. Dr. Cooper and the other experts are trying their best."

After the nurse finished speaking, she hurried into the operating room.

In the empty corridor, there was only the lonely figure of Terrence.

It was not until daybreak that the indicator light of the operating room went out.

Terrence could not wait to go up. When David came out of the operating room, his entire body was drenched in sweat.

"The wound was so deep that the carotid artery was almost cut," David said with a serious face. "Fortunately, you took her here in time, otherwise we could not be able to save her."

"How is she now?"

"She's okay for now. She should wake up in three or four hours." "Thank you."

Terrence breathed a sigh of temporary relief and rubbed his forehead in exhaustion.

David was also very worried when he saw Terrence like this.

"You have to take care of yourself. Don't get too tired." David frowned in worry. "I heard from your mother that you haven't been sleeping more than two hours a day."

"I'm fine."

Terrence patted David on the shoulder and followed the nurses who were sending Alexa to the ward.

Alexa was not in a stable condition yet. Terrence did not call his parents for the time being.

Terrence was handling the company's paperwork in the ward. When he replaced the bouquet in the vase on the nightstand with fresh red roses, Alexa slowly woke up.

"Alexa?" Terrence immediately leaned over the bed and held her hand. "You're awake!"

Alexa looked at him, a trace of confusion flashing across her eyes.

"I'm... What happened?"

The wound on her neck was painful. Alexa frowned uncomfortably and paused for a moment.

"It's okay now."

Terrence carefully wiped off the sweat on Alexa's forehead with a handkerchief, but the confusion in Alexa's eyes made him feel a little

strange.

"What's wrong?"

Hearing this, Alexa stared at Terrence for a long time and even spoke somewhat uncertainly.

"Terrence?"

"It's me." Terrence nodded and smiled gently. "We are back in New York."

After a long time, Alexa nodded slowly and spoke as if she was talking to herself.

"Yes, we have returned to New York, but... Why can't I remember what happened before?"

"It doesn't matter."

Terrence's tone was very gentle, gradually soothing Alexa.

"You are just too tired." He smoothed the light hair on the side of Alexa's

face and said, "You'll get better after a good sleep."

Alexa did not doubt this and closed her eyes again.

The warm winter sunlight poured through the blinds. Soon, Alexa felt sleepy

again.

After she fell asleep, Terrence's face was no longer as calm as before, but

cold and solemn.

He immediately found David.

"She can't remember things. What is going on?"

David pulled out a set of data and analyzed it with a frown.

"Memory lapses may also be one of the symptoms."

"Is there any way to alleviate it?" Terrence blurted out almost without

thinking, "She will be scared because it happens too suddenly."

"For now, there is no effective medicine." David thought for a moment. "But

you can try psychotherapy. Other than that, the company of people close to

her is also necessary."

"I understand."

Terrence walked worriedly towards the ward. At that time, he received a
