Chapter 371 Admirable Self-Control
"She didn't hurt me."
"Your alcohol tolerance isn't good. You probably don't want to experience the feeling of having your stomach pumped," Finley said slowly.
Alexa didn't know what to say.
Finley seemed to be in a rotten mood, and Alexa did not say anything more.
Noticing her submissive look, Terrence hesitated to speak and finally left the hospital with Alexa.
"Will you make a move on Thalia?" Alexa suddenly asked curiously.
Terrence pulled his tie and raised his eyebrows slightly.
"Darling, do you think I am a philanthropist?"
Thalia dared to make a move against Alexa, which Terrence couldn't bear.
In any case, it was impossible for Terrence to not teach her a lesson.
"Are you going to plead for her?"
"No." Alexa said rationally, "I just feel it's better to avoid unnecessary trouble. After all, Mrs. Crompton goes way back with the Ramsey family."
"It's not a big deal."
Terrence didn't care about hypocritical relationships.
He wanted to stroll around the city with Alexa, but Edwin suddenly sent a message saying that Irvin was in New York.
"I can't seem to shake him off." Terrence's expression turned cold.
"The Niebergall family deals in jewelry." Alexa was well-informed. "This time, they are planning to display the Heart of Ocean in New York. I'm afraid they will be in the limelight again."
However, Terrence did not take it to heart.
"David is in the hospital. Let's go and see him."
"Okay."
In fact, Alexa did not like to carry out these checks.
The cold instruments analyzed the data and always gave her a feeling that her life was left without secrets.
However, Terrence looked more nervous than her.
Ever since Alexa entered the examination room, he had been glued to her, never looking away.
"Ms. Duran, we need to collect the electrocardiogram data now. Please lift up your clothes," the nurse said politely.
"Okay."
Alexa lifted the innermost layer of her clothes and revealed her fair waist and chest.
The slightly cold air touched her skin, and her ears turned a little red.
She was shy when Terrence looked at her.
"Ms. Duran, you need to untie your bra," the nurse reminded kindly.
Terrence sat quietly beside her and waited, seemingly not hearing the nurse's words.
Alexa was a little embarrassed. She lifted her shoulder straps, and her ears were red.
"Don't be nervous," Terrence suddenly said.
"You... go out..." Alexa said. "You need a family with you," he said seriously.
Alexa couldn't refute him and closed her eyes.
"Then turn around! You are not allowed to look!"
A short two-minute examination felt even longer than several hours.
Although Terrence did not touch her, Alexa felt the temperature of his
fingers in her body.
Realizing her thoughts were getting strange, Alexa had trouble breathing,
and her flat belly boobed.
Before the examination was over, Alexa heard a rustling sound.
Terrence walked to the other side and sat down.
The nurse looked at the report and whispered.
"Your heart rate is a little fast. Are you nervous?"
Alexa smiled and beat around the bush. Then she quickly tidied up her
clothes.
The nurse took the report and went out. Only Alexa and Terrence were left
in the examination room.
Alexa walked in front of Terrence. He was still sitting with his back to her,
looking like he had no intention of getting up.
"Aren't you leaving?" Alexa asked curiously.
Terrence coughed, and his ears suddenly turned red.
"You go first."
"What's wrong?" She was confused.
"Don't ask."
