Isobel felt better with breeze out of the hotel.
She kept receiving messages from the bank for deposits to her bank account. Yasmin was a brilliant seller who had sold one third of her belongings to help her get three million dollars.
“Miss Lewis.”
Isobel’s smile got to disappear with hearing Martha’s voice, “Miss Sutton.”
It was too cold now when Martha wore an over-sized sweater in azure color as well as a short leather skirt and a pair of black shoes. She looked so gorgeous.
Martha said, “I heard you asked Yasmin to help you sell the gifts Hamish sent you…”
Then she stopped to take a breath and said, “Did Hamish give you five million dollars? Miss Lewis, are you planning something? That’s why you ask for so much money.”
Martha was so mean to take about it. But she did not realize it and continued to talk after getting no reply from Isobel, “How much do you need? I can do you a favor. You don’t need to lose face to all.”
Isobel smiled to say, “No, thank you. I think even the rubbish can be collected; these belongings should be sold at good prices. Why do I have to keep them at home? As to lose face…I don’t think I did it to lose face. Instead, I think your life is more dramatic.”
She had never been afraid of Martha. As Hamish’s woman before, she had refuted Martha a couple of times.
But Isobel was not lucky today. Just now, some car she knew drove slowly and stopped behind her.
Hamish and Freddie were in the car. Isobel spoke in a low voice, but it was loud enough to be heard by them.
