Werewolf Compilations novel Chapter 42

I pulled off of the street and stopped the car on the side of the road. I quietly called Dr. Kent's office. The phone rang a couple times before she answered. "Hello this is Dr. Kent, how may I help you?"

"It's me Anna." I mumble into the phone.

"Oh! Thank goodness!"

"Dr. Kent I need to make another appointment, for questions and tests." I ask with a shaky voice. My throat was sore form sobbing, and my eyes were puffy. I glanced in the rearview mirror, my face was flushed red.

"Of course, whatever day is best for you." She sounded relieved.

"Tomorrow would be great, bye." I hung up and set my phone down on the passenger seat. I needed to calm down and take deep breaths before getting back on the road.

By the time I got back to the pack house it was noon. I've been gone for about two hours.

I slowly got out of Katy's car and shut the door with no force. Don't cry Anna, don't you dare cry. I took another deep breath before heading into the house.

I normally walked through the door like nothing happened, but then I saw Katy sitting on the couch, she looked extremely panicked. When she saw me, her eyes went wide. "Oh thank god!" She sighed in relief. "Where the hell did you go?! Tyler was worried sick!"

Don't cry! Don't cry!

"Oh uh... I just went to the doctor to get my pains checked out." I answered and attempted to keep my voice steady. "I didn't think it was that big of a deal." I shrug.

"Then why the hell didn't you tell us?"

"I must have forgot." I mutter.

She sighed again and came closer to me. She started to look at me funny, like she was scanning my face. "Anna, where you crying?"

My entire body stiffened. "N-No why do you say that?" I fake chuckled and brushed back a stray hair behind my ear.

"Because I'm not stupid, now what really happened?" Katy asks with kind eyes, she just wants to help me.

"Oh uh, um." Then my voice cracked. Don't cry don't cry! Anna don't break!

The room started to slowly spin and my head started to pound.
