What Separates Me and You novel Chapter 463

Yona froze in the middle of opening the car door when she saw Lewis coming down from the Maybach. Her pupils constricted.

He was …

The man she saw was clad in a suit. He had a slender build and chiseled features. He stood quite near to where she was, and it was Yona's first time looking at him up close.

He gave off an air of indifference and assertiveness, so much so that others would have shied away from him.

Yona's heart started pounding when she saw him.

Wasn't that Lewis Alvarez? She didn't expect to see, with her own eyes, the man whom she thought existed only on television. But why was he here?

If only she had known he would visit the film set, she wouldn't have thrown a tantrum.

Yona wanted to attract Lewis' attention, but he had already started walking inside. In a hurry, she flung the car door open and hopped out.

"Chairman … Ack!" She accidentally tripped and fell while rushing.

Lewis turned to look when he heard footsteps.

Yona looked up and met his soulful, pressuring stare. She unknowingly held her breath and even forgot to get up. She lay on the ground and gazed up at the elegant man, who was out of her league.

However, Lewis merely glanced at her. Then, he withdrew his gaze and headed toward the film set.

Yona gathered herself and immediately clambered to her feet. She looked around her and chose to take a shortcut on the left to catch up with him.

Meanwhile, Josephine had already finished reading the script. She had more or less grasped how she should play her role. In fact, it didn't even require much of her. It was a cliché story that could easily attract traffic.

Jay was playing a company's president who was outstation. He encountered an ambush from his rival and got separated from his assistant. After changing into a laborer's clothes, he met the female lead.

Instead of how such stories usually played out, the president didn't conceal his identity. He told the female lead who he was to borrow her phone and some money. However, the female lead thought he was a fraud.

Still, the female lead kindly helped him, and the president found himself attracted to her. So, he kept thinking of ways to prove to the female lead that he was truly wealthy.

But alas, misunderstandings always happened whenever he tried to impress her, leaving the impression of someone trying too hard to show off.

The series consisted of 15 episodes. One episode would be released each day. So, the series would end within half a month.

Josephine had changed and put on her makeup. She astounded everyone when she made an entrance. Even Nicolas stared at her in amazement.

Josephine didn't usually put on makeup. Even then, her features were captivating. However, with makeup on, her innocent face glowed up—it was like someone added the final touches to a painting. She looked livelier, and her features were more defined.

Without makeup, she looked like a pure, naive fairy. But when she did, she looked like a mystical goddess, unconcerned with worldly affairs.

As the role she played was that of an innocent girl, the makeup artist kept her makeup simple. She didn't look much different from her usual appearance.

However, her transformation still managed to astound those who saw her. Her eyes had become more vivid and almost otherworldly.

Nicolas came to his senses and cleared his throat. "Let's start."

Wendy cast Josephine an encouraging look.

Josephine nodded and inhaled deeply. Then, she stood before the camera with Jay.

"Wait!" A voice resounded just as they were ready to start filming.

Josephine turned to look, and voilà—it was Yona.

Yona bent over and panted. It took her a while to catch her breath.

"I thought you refused to continue with the filming." Nicolas looked at her coldly.

Yona explained, "When did I ever say that? Wendy's at it again. My stomach was upset, so I requested her to tell you I'll need a minute. How did my message turn out so differently?"
