Who Let Him Play Yu-Gi-Oh! novel Chapter 251

Chapter 251: Chapter 251: Complete Lockdown

Kira focused, about to continue, when he sensed something. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Kaiba and Mokuba had come down from their room and were calmly watching the duel.

They seemed unfazed by his encounter with an enemy.

Kira began to suspect something.

"My turn. Draw," Kira said. "I activate ’Foolish Burial’ to send a monster from my deck to the grave."

"A precise mill card. If you send something troublesome, it could be bad," the masked person replied seriously.

Masked Man: "So, I activate my set card—Trap Card: Back to the Front! I revive a monster from my graveyard in defense mode!"

Kira: "The monster you discarded with Graceful Charity last turn?"

Masked Man: "Correct. I revive—

’Spell Canceller!’"

A metallic device appeared, taking a defensive stance in his field.

[Spell Canceller, DEF 1600]

"That thing..."

Kira was used to using Spell Canceller to trap others. Being on the receiving end was a new experience.

"While Spell Canceller is on the field, neither player can activate Spell Cards, and all Spell effects are negated," the masked person said. "Therefore, your Foolish Burial is negated—you can’t send a monster from your deck to the grave."

Spell Canceller’s absolute anti-magic power negated the spell, which shattered and vanished.

With his spell negated, Kira glanced at the calm Kaiba brothers, then turned to his opponent.

"Let me guess..."

"Alister, right?"

The masked person’s eyelid twitched, clearly surprised.

A second later, he laughed, ripped off his disguise—

It was indeed Alister, one of the three swordsmen of Doma, and Kaiba’s old rival.

In the anime, he first beat Pegasus, disguised as him to duel Kaiba, even using Pegasus’s Toon deck, then switched to his own fire deck.

He mixed his own cards with the Toon series, and even tied Kaiba with both their LP dropping to zero.

None of Doma’s three swordsmen were pushovers.

Afterward, Alister learned his childhood misfortune was orchestrated by Doma’s boss, Dartz. His grudge against Kaiba was largely Dartz’s doing, so they eventually reconciled. Even when hating Kaiba, Alister was never hostile to Moku, and once entrusted him with the toy robot his brother had left behind.

For Kaiba, friends are rare, and the cards used—especially Spell Canceller—were originally Alister’s in the anime, which is how Kira guessed his identity.

"I was wondering what kind of genius it takes to get recognition from that arrogant Seto Kaiba," Alister said, voice now much friendlier. "Turns out you’re pretty sharp."

Kaiba coldly said, "I never said I ’recognized’ you."

Alister laughed it off.

"So you’re the leader of those duelists?" Kira asked.

"Of course. Who else?"

So the Blue-Eyes Maid squad was your idea... figures you have weird taste.

"So this wasn’t a shadow duel, huh?"

"Of course not. When I heard about you, I got interested and checked your duel records—then I got even more interested."

Alister glanced at the Spell Canceller on the field.

"You seem to have a connection with this card, right?

Before you arrived, I was thinking I should find a chance to duel you. The disguise was just to add some tension and help you perform better."

Kira: "..."

Just when he was thinking about taking the guy’s deck for himself. If he’s an ally, he can’t just rob him. Damn it! fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
