Chapter 2996
Winson let out a bloodcurdling scream as he let go of Gwen and clutched his manhood, slumping onto the ground in excruciating agony.
Gwen quickly turned around, intending to check on the man in black.
Initially, she was expecting to see five or six tall, burly men overpowering and attacking the lonesome man in black, but to her surprise...
All six of Winson's men were slumped on the ground in crumpled heaps, clutching various areas of their bodies as they wailed in agony, not unlike Winson.
The man in black, however, was not at all fazed. In fact, there was not even a hair out of place.
Seeing that Gwen had escaped from Winson, the man lifted his head to glance at her.
All Gwen could see from her distance was his dark, penetrating eyes, but she could make out the vague hint of a smile in them.
She could not help faltering at this.
For some reason, she was again reminded of Luke.
Luke used to be as good at fighting as this man was, and he also used to smile at her like this...
"Let's go.’ All of a sudden, the man's low voice broke her out of her stupor. When she finally came to, the man had already arrived by her side and was reaching out to grab her arm. "Let's escape while we can."
Gwen paused, then nodded. "Okay!"
However, before leaving, she did not forget to give Winson a good, hard kick in his shin. "If anything happens to my father, Winson, I'm going to kill you!"
With that, she finally turned and left.
The two of them walked out of the alleyway and hailed a taxi to Gwen's place.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
