Chapter 3023
Lucas was frozen in shock as he watched Luna saunter away.
After Luna disappeared into the elevator, he finally broke out of his stupor. He glanced first at the food container in his hands, then at the sight of Joshua chatting with the woman in his office, and immediately understood what had happened.
He smacked his forehead in regret and quickly strode into the room.
"Mr. Bean, why did you bring an extra portion of food when Joshua and I are almost done with our meal?" the woman asked, frowning as she glanced at the container in Lucas' hand.
Lucas rolled his eyes at her-just out of her sight-and placed the container in front of Joshua. "Sir, I ran into Ma'am outside the door just now. She came to bring you your lunch."
With that, he glanced at the woman and added with a hint of contempt, "I'm thinking that Ma'am must've arrived just in time to see you enjoying your lunch with Ms. Moore here and got the wrong idea."
As he said this, he could not help rolling his eyes at the woman. "Ms. Moore, you shouldn't have done this. Since you came all the way to visit your cousin, why did you choose only to visit Sir here at his office instead of visiting Ma'am as well? Now that Ma'am has misunderstood, they might even get into a fight, and if that happens, how are you going to continue working here?"
With that, Lucas turned to stare at Joshua. "You, too, Sir. Even if Ms. Moore here is just your cousin, you shouldn't have chosen to have lunch with her in private, in your office like this. Everyone else will get the wrong idea. And besides, it's clear that you didn't tell Ma'am that your cousin, Ms.
Tara Moore has come to visit! Seeing that Ma'am wasn't aware of Ms. Moore's arrival, she must've misinterpreted things when she bumped into this!"
Joshua furrowed his brows, glancing at Lucas.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
