Chapter 3076
"Um..."
Before Tara could respond, however, Robyn piped in. "Didn't I tell you my brother suffered a gunshot wound? Well, that's because he was protecting an old man last night.
"They both got kidnapped, and the man was about to be killed by the kidnapper. If my brother hadn't leaped out and saved the man just in time, he would've been dead by now.
"Miss Moore here is a relative of the man and came to thank us."
With that, she brandished the card in front of Luna and added, "She wanted to reward us in return for my brother's kindness. We desperately need the money, but my brother insisted we not accept it. He didn't want to feel like his kindness was taken as an act of ulterior motives."
Luna froze when she heard this. She furrowed her brow, glancing at Tara. "That 'relative' of yours is Gwen's father, isn't he?"
Luna was well aware of what happened the night before. Since Joshua's men had rescued Andy the night before and Robyn's brother had gotten shot on the same day, it did not take long for her to connect the dots.
She guessed that Tara came to reward Robyn's brother on Gwen and Andy's behalf.
At the thought of this, she frowned. "Did something happen to Gwen?"
Since Robyn's brother had saved Andy's life, it made no sense that Gwen would send someone else to do her bidding instead of coming to thank him herself.
The only explanation was that she was preoccupied with something else.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
