Luna followed Lucas into the room.
Joshua was leaning by the head of the bed. He elegantly placed the documents to the side before he raised his eyebrows and looked at Luna. “You’ve been staring at me outside for twelve minutes.“
Luna smiled a little. “Mr. Lynch, you’re so good- looking that I can’t help but be mesmerized.“
Joshua did not accept nor deny her praise.
Joshua gently picked up the steaming cup of hot water by the side with his large hands and took a sip.
“So good looking that you have to peep at me at this hour?“
He then looked at Luna. “Do you want some?“ asked Joshua with his wet lips.
Smiling aloofly, she walked toward him and accepted the cup. She downed its contents in one go. “Thank you, Mr. Lynch.“
The warm water flowed through her throat, warming her body up, but her heart was still cold.
“I heard that you promised Granny that you’111eave Blue Bay Villa?“ Joshua squinted. His eyes were so deep that it was hard to understand him.
“Have you achieved what you want, staying by my side?“
“No.“ Luna helped herself to a chair by the side and shifted to a more comfortable position.
“Far from it.“
“You’re still planning to leave even so?“
“Yes.“ Luna chuckled lightly. “I thought you always wanted to get rid of me? I’ll truly leave after Granny Lynch’s birthday banquet.“
Joshua squinted. She used to put up a fight to stay by Nellie’s side when he wanted to get rid of her back then.
At that moment, after risking his life to rescue her from the fire, she simply made her decision to leave at Granny’s words.
He truly did not understand this woman. She was extremely mysterious, yet he could not help but want to get closer to her. It was hard for him to resist her.
“If there’s nothing else, I’ll make a move.“ His deep gaze made Luna uncomfortable.
Luna stood up, smiled at him, turned around, and left.
When her hand was on the doorknob, Joshua, by the bed, could not help but furrowed his brows. “Won’t you miss it?“
Luna sneered inwardly. “I’ll miss Nellie for sure.“ “Only Nellie?“
“Of course. What else?“
Joshua frowned and said nothing more.
“Have a good rest, Mr. Lynch. You’ve been unconscious for the past few days. Don’t work so late at night when you have just recovered. Beware of death by overworking.”
Then, Luna opened the door and left.
After she left, Lucas carefully pushed the door and entered. “Sir, should we start looking for a new maid?”
Joshua closed his eyes. “We’ll see about it later.” He…still did not want to let her go.
The morning sun shone through the windows. It was bright and sunny. The air was great, too.
Neil took a sip of fruit juice. “Mr. Lynch, I asked you out because I wanted to show you something.
He placed a tablet in front of Joshua.
With furrowed brows, Joshua turned on the tablet as it played some videos and photos.
The videos were of the few burly men talking outside Luna’s door during the fire.
The photos were of Aura having a meal with them. It looked like she was paying them.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
