Emelleimmediately explained, “Mr. Swanson, please don’t misunderstand. I’m not..” 

“I don’t wanna hear about it,” Samuel said. “I will take it as it is. If you have other things to say, then explain to me after settle the matters here. I’ll pick you up from Winstour City.” 

Emelie felt helpless. 

Samuel added, “It’s late. Rest well. Bye.”

Sampel swung open the balcony door with a sprayer in his hand, tending to his mint plants. His mood was lifted by the simple pleasure of it all
