“Gwenny?” Cedrick muttered, looking like a lost, confused puppy.

Gwendolyn wrapped his tie around her hand sensuously and leaned in till their noses touched.

“Ceddy, you’re even more capable than my assistant. Why don’t you come to Harris Group and be my secretary? I’ll pay you handsomely.”

For a moment, Cedrick was speechless.

Oh… My services don’t come cheap, but if Gwenny’s hiring me, I’d be more than happy to oblige.

The next second, he curled his lips into a smile. “It’d be my honor to be your secretary, Gwenny. Besides, you won’t even need to pay me. I’m a hard worker, and I’ll be at your beck and call from morning till night. Most importantly, my services will go beyond office duties.”

Gwendolyn raised a brow and chuckled. “Wow. What a good deal. I’ve struck gold, haven’t I?”

“Of course,” Cedrick replied with a grin. “I’d never let anyone take advantage of you.”

Pleased with the man’s sweet words and performance, Gwendolyn melted into his embrace and kissed him passionately.

Within seconds, temperatures rose, and the air was filled with intense sexual tension.

Just then, Gwendolyn’s new assistant, Parker Downey, knocked on the door and opened it, only to see what was happening on the couch. ”Ms. Harris, Mr. Black is here to look for you… Oh, sh*t! I’m sorry!”

Flushed with embarrassment, the frantic woman quickly closed the door.

Robert Black, who was kept waiting outside the office, fixed Parker with a stare. “Why aren’t we going in? What’s Ms. Harris doing?”
