Gwendolyn chuckled. “You, undoubtedly.”

Cedrick remained dissatisfied. “Does he possess a fit physique? Is he skilled in dancing?”

Cedrick’s jealousy filled the elevator.

Gwendolyn stifled a laugh and wrapped her arms around his neck. She fixed him with an intense gaze, leaned in, and whispered in his ear.

Instantly, Cedrick was pacified by her words.

He nuzzled his nose against hers and said in a deep, husky voice, “I’ll showcase my dance moves when we arrive home, Gwenny. Would you prefer sensual or sexy dance moves?”

Gwendolyn suppressed a giggle. “I want both sexy and sensual moves.”

Cedrick bowed his head and planted a kiss on her lips. “You shall have it all. However, I request that you refrain from watching other men perform such dances in the future.”

Gwendolyn was left speechless. “His moves during the first half of the performance were completely normal. I had no idea the second half would change so drastically. But to be honest, this trainee’s dance skills are versatile and diverse, quite impressive,” she unwittingly praised Jimmy once again.

Cedrick’s face darkened. “That just means he’s a player! A seducer! He must have ulterior motives for pulling off those moves in front of a married woman!”

As Gwendolyn watched the building fade into the distance, a sudden question popped into her mind.

“Cedrick, why is it that whenever I’m at Angle Corporation dealing with work and accompanied by two other men, you always appear? Did you plant a spy to keep tabs on me?”

Cedrick froze at her words.

Gwendolyn scrutinized his facial expressions, narrowing her eyes. “You better be honest with me. What have you done?”

“I-I can explain.” He paled.

Gwendolyn firmly grasped his chin, turning his face from side to side to examine him. “Who is it?”

Cedrick kept silent.

Revealing their identity would be a betrayal to the person who had assisted him. He wanted to play fair since they had helped him greatly.

With that in mind, he deflected the question back to Gwendolyn. “Who do you think it is, Gwenny?”

“So, you still want to protect them?” Gwendolyn pinched his cheeks. “I won’t make guesses. I will conduct an investigation. Once I uncover their identity, both you and they will suffer the consequences.”

Suffer the consequences?

Cedrick trembled at the thought. He refused to get punished for this matter.

“Darling, I’ve simply ensured that people around you are there to protect you whenever you’re away from my sight. They willingly accepted bribes because I’m your husband. Rest assured. They are all on your side.”

Gwendolyn’s face darkened as she paid attention to his words. “What do you mean by ‘they’? Are there multiple individuals spying on me? How many are there at Angle Corporation? Are there any at Harris Group too?”

Cedrick was left speechless.

What do I do? It feels like I’ve just dug a hole for myself!

Gwendolyn immediately sensed that he was contemplating an escape plan from the look on his face. Hence, she pinched his face fiercely.

Cedrick scowled and took a deep breath. “Please, be more gentle, Darling. My face will end up swollen and unsightly if you keep this up.”

Gwendolyn relaxed her grip and playfully pinched his waist instead. “Give me the list of names once we’re home. If you dare defy me, there will be consequences!”

“Easy now,” he pleaded.
