Wooing My ex-wife (Gwendolyn and Maverick) novel Chapter 473

Seated on the bed, Jennifer tore into her flesh like a mad woman, puncturing and mutilating her skin.

Where the steel shackles had bound her wrists before had been clawed into bloody lumps of flesh.

However, her bloodshot eyes did not seem to betray any pain.

As if possessed, she kept at her deranged mission.

“Stop, Jennifer.”

Treyton dashed over and hugged her to stop her from mutilating herself.

Having lost her mind, Jennifer struggled madly against his embrace and, as if having lost her temper, bit him on the neck.

Treyton grimaced.

He held his breath.

Though it hurt, it was nothing compared to the pain in his heart.

Without moving, he swallowed the pain and allowed her to vent her madness onto him.

Having hurried up the stairs, Gwendolyn, Cedrick, and Nico found themselves witnessing the harrowing spectacle.

“Go to the Jenson family medical corps, Nico,” Gwendolyn ordered calmly.

“We need some tranquilizers.

Hubby, pull Jennifer away and restrain her.”

“Yes, Gwendolyn.”

Nico turned around and hurried off.

Gwendolyn remained with Cedrick, trying to pull Jennifer, in her maddened frenzy, away.

“It's all right. Don't hurt her. This is what | deserve,” Treyton said with great effort as he endured the searing pain coming from his neck.

Standing by the bed, Cedrick watched helplessly as Treyton was getting bitten.

In the meantime, Gwendolyn helped Summer up from the ground.

The atmosphere in the room was unusual.

All of them were staring, transfixed, at the seemingly warm but gory scene with similarly solemn expressions.

Nico was swift.

In ten minutes, he returned with a box of tranquilizers.

Just as he was about to administer the tranquilizers, Treyton extended a trembling hand.

“Let me,” he said, his face pale.

Nico handed it to him.

He was gentle and precise.

Jabbing her in the arm, he quickly and decisively administered the drug.

However, being dosed with an entire syringe full did not seem to help Jennifer's condition.

On the contrary, her eyes remained bloodshot with bulging veins, like an unhinged demon.

Helplessly, Nico handed Treyton another syringe.

Only after two syringes did Jennifer slowly begin to slacken her jaw.

Exhausted, she slumped into Treyton's arms.

Treyton placed her on the bed with a tender gaze in his eyes.

The teeth marks and bruises on his neck were red and bloody.

Gwendolyn examined his injury and, to her relief, discovered that his arteries were unharmed.

“How're you feeling, Treyton?” Treyton concealed his pained expression.

“Fine.” Gwendolyn turned around to regard Nico.

“Go to the Jenson family medical corps, find me their best psychologist, and ask them to spend a few days here to care for Jennifer alongside Treyton.”

Nico nodded.

“Right away.”

As soon as Nico left, Cedrick went down the stairs and returned with the first-aid kit from the basement.

With well-practiced movements, he treated Treyton's wound.

The latter did not move.

He kept his gaze fixed on Jennifer.

If it were possible, he would not want to be treated so he could endure some measure of pain alongside Jennifer.

At this juncture, I would only give Gwendolyn and Cedrick more trouble if | were to collapse.

They would have an even harder time caring for Jennifer then.

Standing closely by, Gwendolyn watched silently as Cedrick treated Treyton's wound.
