Chapter 629 Clearing The Area

Gwendolyn observed the ongoing dispute between the two and sighed in resignation. “How about this? Why don’t you two settle it with a fight? Whoever wins will have their viewpoint acknowledged and followed.

A fight? No way.

Kieran sighed, shooting his sister a reproachful look. “I could never bring myself to bully her. All I can do is submit defeat and let her beat me up!”

“Then you should just let her do so! After all, it was your fault for saying what you shouldn’t have. Just let her hit you to vent her anger.”

Heeding his sister’s words, Kieran gracefully inclined his body and drew his face closer to Inez. “It was my fault for upsetting you with my poor choice of words. If it helps you feel better, go ahead and hit me.”

Inez looked at the handsome face mere inches away from hers, finding it hard to bring herself to hit him. She hesitated for a moment, but the lingering frustration within her demanded some form of release.

In the end, she pinched the man’s cheek indignantly and said, “You should really pay Mr. Jenson for some lessons on emotional intelligence, Mr. Kieran, Inez suggested, her words carrying a subtle hint of jest and exasperation.

“Understood,” he said submissively.

As Inez’s anger dissipated, she released her grip on his cheek.

A faint reddish mark lingered on his initially pale skin, surprising her and stirring a tinge of regret within her.

“Does it hurt? I didn’t use much force, yet it turned red.

A grin tugged at the corner of Kieran’s lips as he stated, “It’s because my skin is rather delicate.”

Just as he was about to speak honestly and claim it didn’t hurt, Cedrick leaned in unexpectedly, whispering

something into his ear. The words that had been on the tip of Kieran’s tongue were abruptly swallowed back.

“It hurts, it really does,” he said instead.

Feeling sorry for the man, Inez tenderly caressed his cheek with the palm of her hand, offering a gentle massage to alleviate his discomfort.

Kieran gripped her delicate hand, and following Cedrick’s guidance, bit the bullet and said. “The more you rub, the redder it becomes. If you’re willing to give it a kiss, I’m sure the pain will vanish.” He tried so hard to sound natural as she said that.

Inez was taken aback, her face instantly flushing red. In the presence of Gwendolyn and Cedrick, she found it hard to display her affection. “There are people watching. It’s embarrassing,” she stammered. feeling a sense of self-consciousness.

In response, Gwendolyn shook her head. “We didn’t see a thing

As Inez turned her head to listen to Gwendolyn, Kieran bent down once more, bringing his face closer and silently requesting a kiss,

The fiery blush on his earlobes served as a testament to his inner shyness, hidden beneath a seemingly confident exterior.

Unable to resist, Inez leaned in and swiftly planted a kiss on his face.

At that very moment, Cedrick enveloped his wife’s slender waist with his arm, boldly bringing his lips to hers, sealing the moment with a passionate kiss,

Inez and Kieran did not see a thing since it happened simultaneously.

However, Gwendolyn’s heart raced faster as a result.

Being stolen a kiss like that… it’s quite exhilarating. Cedrick certainly knows how to make a move!

Behind them, there were plenty of attractive men and women in the pool.

The men’s eyes were fixed on Gwendolyn and Inez, while the women couldn’t help but admire Kieran and Cedrick’s well-built physiques.

The gaze of the entire group remained fixated on them, unable to be diverted elsewhere as if captivated by their presence.

Cedrick gathered the towel around Gwendolyn’s body, annoyed by the intrusive gazes around them, “Gwenny, I don’t want those prying eyes to see your captivating allure in the water. Perhaps I should clear the place out.”

Gwendolyn was momentarily taken aback. “This is Turlen, not Chanaea. It’s best not to be too arrogant. If needed, we can always move to the smaller pool nearby, she suggested, offering a practical alternative.

The man did not respond but merely fished out his phone and began composing a text message.

“What are you up to? Are you really planning to clear the area?”

As Gwendolyn leaned in to take a look, he had just hit the send button and locked his phone.

“I’m not even allowed to read the message?” Gwendolyn asked.

Wearing a tender smile on his countenance, Cedrick gracefully scooped the woman up and settled her on a comfortable lounge chair.

He promptly requested a waiter to bring a refreshing glass of juice and a platter of freshly cut chilled fruits. Taking a seat by her side, he attentively served her, tending to her every need.

“All you need to do is wait for ten minutes. It will be over before you know it, Gwenny, he assured her.
