“Mom! Are you there? Answer me if you are there!” Trishia was shouting at top of her lungs.
She was sure that her mom didn’t leave the country.
She had full of doubts about the senator’s words.
Her mom was the only person who supported her all throughout.
She could not afford to lose her mom.
“Trishia, I told you to get out or I will drag you out!” The senator roared angrily.
“I told you old man, I am not going anywhere without my mom!” Trishia answered courageously.
“Huh! Why are you acting like a good daughter now? Trishia… do you want anything? Yeah, I know you, you will not see your mom if you don’t need money. Right?” Sen. Meyer’s tone was mocking at her. “How much do you need now? I can give you just get out of my sight immediately!” He ordered sternly.
The senator’s voice was impatient.
He wanted Trishia to get lost immediately.
“Huh! You are wrong!” Trishia quickly refuted.
“Huh! Then what do you want drugs? Come on Trishia, I know you very well. You will just see your mom if you need money or drugs. Hahaha!” Sen. Meyer laughed insulting her.
“Huh!” Trishia smirked. “Say whatever you want but I will not go anywhere without my mom!” She was very eager to see her mom and refused to leave no matter what. “Mom! Mom! Mom!” She continued banging the master bedroom. Trishia knew her mom would immediately appear if she was outside the room but since there was none, she was sure that she is inside the room.
“Mom! Mom! You answer me!” She was already hysterical. “You opened this now or I swear I will ruin this door!” Raging with anger, Trishia shouted at the senator.
The Senator quickly took her phone.
“That door is more precious than your life Trishia. I already warned you but you didn’t listen so, be it!” With a screaming voice, the Senator said.
“F*ck you! I am not scared of you!” Trishia’s face was flustered due to her bursting out.
The Senator gritted his teeth.
Then his men quickly came inside.
Suddenly, Trishia’s cellphone chimed.
Someone sent her a message.
She quickly looked at it.
Then she raised her two hands.
“Okay… Okay… I am really sorry dad.” The Senator raised his hand to stop his men. “You are right, I want money and drugs. You see, I am lacking supply dad. If there’s no mom, can you give me drugs? Please? You know my attitude is like this because my brain is exploding. I need it badly dad. Please… I swore I will accept anything even a little just give me dad. Please…” Trishia held Sen. Meyer’s arm but he quickly snatched his arm away from her as he disgusted her.
“Hahaha! Look at you now. You are more than a dog! Hahaha… Do you want to eat my sh*t? hahaha!” Sen. Meyer laughed triumphantly.
He was so happy to see Trishia’s begging and was no way to go.
She was an addict and she could not survive one day without taking it.
For him, she would die without his drug but Trishia was hopeless. Sen. Meyer could not see any use in her.
“Get out Trishia before I will order my men to throw in the street. That’s where you belong! Hahaha!” Sen. Meyer was overwhelmed with joy as he continued mocking Trishia.
“Okay. Okay! I’m going. If you are not going to give me then I will just call mom instead.” With her normal bratty tone, Trishia said striding down to the staircase without waiting for the senator’s reply.
She looked at his men one by one with daggers then she hurriedly exited the mansion.
Just the perfect timing, a car picked her up on the driveway.
She hopped inside then they quickly left.
Arabella stopped the car in the side lane.
“Here.” She got a letter in her pocket and gave it to Trishia.
“Why are you giving me paper trash? Where is my mom?” Trishia asked directly.
“Your mom gave this to you,” Arabella answered as she remembered how she saw Alice inside the house.
Earlier, Arabella was hiding in the corner.
She could only hear Trishia and Sen. Meyer’s fight.
She knew the event would not turn out well.
Her mind was planning to get out of the house before the senator would know that she was inside his house.
Before the Senator would know her plan.
Surely the Senator would not allow her to talk to his wife, Alice.
Worst, he would hide Alice away from their mansion.
At that time, she was very confused about what she was going to do.
She didn’t know if Sen. Meyer was telling the truth.
If Alice was really abroad, her plan was already a failure even if it didn’t start yet.
With her messy thoughts, suddenly someone grabbed her shoulder.
She quickly turned around to see the face of the person.
Alice Meyer.
Arabella was shocked.
Alice’s face was too different from the last time she saw her.
She got wrinkles all over her forehead and saggy skin.
Alice put her index finger on her mouth signaling Arabella to be very quiet.
Then, she dragged Arabella to the other corner of the house where there are huge potted plants.
“Why are you and Trishia here? You should not be here. Tell Trishia to get out now. You two should not be here. It’s very dangerous. He is dangerous.” Alice said pleading.
Arabella could see her fear and her sincerity for her and Trishia.
“Are you okay?” Arabella asked worriedly. She could not help it.
When she saw Alice with a very exhausted face, she could not just abandon her worries about her.
She seemed like she didn’t sleep for the whole month.
Hearing Arabella, Alice was stunned.
She could not believe it to see Arabella’s worries on her face for her.
Alice was expecting that Arabella would hate her.
The kind of hate that would never forgive her for the rest of her life but at the moment, Arabella was asking about her situation.
“I… am.” She answered like she was hesitant.
“My dad. You have to help my dad. Your husband was torturing him. Save my dad if you really loved him.” Arabella’s tears slipped from her eyes.
She quickly wiped it.
Alice held her hand. “I am sorry for everything I have caused you and your family.” Alice held her hand. ”I know that sorry is not enough but trust me, I will do everything to keep your dad safe and you.” Alice’s tears escaped from the corner of her eyes. “I was locked in the basement. As long as I will not escape from this house, Trishia, you and your father will be safe.” Alice was sobbing.
Arabella could see that she regretted and she was sincere to make it right.
“But that person is dangerous. He is cunning. He will not stick to his words.” Arabella refuted worried about Alice.
“He loves me, Arabella. That love would be an advantage. I swore to him that if something happened to you, your father, or Trishia, I will kill myself.” Alice’s eyes were determined.
It gave her another shock hearing Alice's words.
“No… you can’t do that.” Arabella didn’t feel any joy in Alice’s words.
“Yes. I can. This is the price that I have to pay, Arabella. I’m very sorry. Please give this one to my daughter, Trishia. You don’t have time. Go now before his men can see you. You exit on the right. Please now.” Alice was already pushing her.
Arabella got the letter and put it in her pocket.
She quickly strode to the exit but she stopped and then turned around to see Alice once more.
“Please take care.” She said meeting Alice’s eyes then she left quickly.
She thought if she would see Alice, she would bend all her anger at her.
She thought, she would blame her for everything bad that happened to her family.
She thought she would slap her face to make herself satisfied.
She had so many things she could imagine while going into their mansion.
She hated Alice so much because she ruined her family.
Her father chose her over her.
