Arabella's eyes were so entertained by the amazing overlooking view when Bill maneuvered the speed. She quickly tightened her grasp around Bill's waist.
"Where are we going?" She asked almost shrieking.
"How much do you want to risk?" Bill responded to her with another question. His tone was deemed serious. She curtailed deciphering what was his question all about. The question seemed to carry a wave of profound emotion.
"What can you risk, Bill Sky?" She was very curious about the risk he could do since he already mentioned it.
After her words, Bill normalized their speed. He was muted for a span.
"I can risk everything for someone I like." He answered with a deep tone.
"And you?" He asked.
"I hate risking. I will never put myself in an uncertain situation."She answered honestly.
After all the suffering she had experienced in her life, she would never allow herself to be hurt again. Whatever it is, she would not enter any situation that would put her in danger again and again. For a soul that had been torn under cruel circumstances, healing was a difficult thing to do. The process would take slow, slower than what you ever wanted because no one wanted to drown themselves in sorrow.
Through time, the pain heals but the scars were never mended. No one wanted to be drowned and stay rooted in pain but no matter what, the terrible experiences will always haunt down.
"Then you are a coward," Bill commented.
"It's better safe than sorry, Mr. Sky," Arabella replied along with her rolling eyes. She could not fathom how Bill could just call her a coward. Arabella heaved a sigh of annoyance. Of all people, why she was with the heartless man right now? Why she was riding his motorcycle and talking like they were friends? Aside from that, why they were talking about risk and the topic was a bit personal.
"Hmmm..." He muttered. '"Life is boring without any risk." He remarked like he was gently reminding her.
"Well, what can I say? A person who has everything." She commented rolling her eyes.
"Not everything..." Bill answered plainly.
Arabella smirked. She didn't want to be bothered by his words as for her, Bill was a man who could not be trusted. She had no plan to believe his words but then she was still curious about the meaning of his statement.
"Come on, Mr. Sky, you are the richest man in our country. What the heck are you saying?" Arabella embraced Bill's back tightly as he speeded up. Then he stabilized the speed again.
"If you find that something important to you, you're willing to give up everything just to get it." He said while driving smoothly.
"I can't believe what I'm hearing right now. You have all the fame and money. Are you sure you can give up all of these for that something?" For her, Bill Sky was just bluffing but she was just curious about his answer and she wanted to give him a hard time answering all her questions. It's the only thing she could do since she decided to ride with him in his big motorcycle.
Here, they were fair.
She could ask and he would answer.
He could also ask her and it's her choice to answer or not. Bill could do anything to her if she didn't want to cooperate with him unless he would put himself at risk too. Arabella felt safe knowing that Bill could only drive and could not hurt or force her to do things.
"I can." Bill's answer interrupted her thoughts. She rolled her eyes. 'Bluffing!' Her mind refused to believe him.
"And what is that something?" She was very curious. "Oh, let me guess... A girl!" Arabella said wanting to lighten up her mood. Bill was known as a womanizer, so it was not a question that was something that he was willing to give up everything.
"Hmmm.." Bill didn't answer directly as he speeded up again on a zigzag road going up the hill. Arabella held his waist so tight afraid to fall off the motorcycle.
As expected, Bill would not tell him the truth. He could not answer a simple question. Admittedly, her curiosity kept on hanging though she had no intention to believe him.
With her helmet, she shook her head to get rid of her inquisitiveness.
"Where are we going, Mr. Sky?" She asked doubting the man who she was tugging tightly.
"You will know." He answered plainly.
Arabella heaved a sigh. She could not afford to get him annoyed right now since he was holding her life. Bill could make her fall from his motorcycle or he could drop her on the mountain and leave her there. Thinking about this made her grasp his waist tighter. She didn't care if he was pressing his back against her body. For her, her safety was more important than anything else.
After a while of riding in the panoramic view, Bill finally stopped.
"Go down." He ordered.
"No." She answered not wanting to be left behind. What if Bill was tricking her? What if he would leave her there? Her eyes wandered around. She saw lots of pine trees green grass and some flowers in an uphill loop. With the greens, the air was so fresh. She felt good and relaxed in the place but it was not a good idea if Bill Sky would leave her there. How could she possibly go home? According to her calculation, they were very far away from the city or any town. They were in the mountainside of Capital Z. She was sure no other single soul in the area except maybe snakes and other wild animals.
