Chapter 1951: What to Do with You

Clint sat down in his own office cubicle. It wasn't long before someone brought him the materials for the smart surveillance project. Clint casually flipped through them - for someone who had always enjoyed research since childhood, these things were child's play. When he was young, plagued by a weak heart, he often stayed in the palace, and in his free time, he liked to tinker with technology. Over time, he delved deeper into it, eventually becoming an expert in the field.

At that moment, he suddenly thought of his half-brother, Reuben, who was well-versed in medicine. For Clint, this was a sore point as he always felt Reuben's interest in medicine was a subtle mockery of him. Mocking his frailty from a young age. And now, with the suspension of the heir to the throne selection, Reuben, whom he had never taken seriously before, had become his opponent. It was hard for him to swallow this bitter pill. So he personally came to Khebury, determined to turn the tables.

In the office, Joyce and Jude had a long discussion that lasted until dusk. Jude left Joyce's office before Clint arrived, politely addressing him as "Mr. Mu." "Mr. Mu, how about we have dinner together and chat about technical matters? It's been a while since I found someone I can communicate with." In truth, he wanted to probe how much technical prowess Munin possessed.

Clint politely declined, "No, I need to take Joyce home. She's pregnant and it's time for her to go back. Let's have lunch together another day." Jude hesitated for a moment, and then quickly left.

Clint noticed that Jude was holding a black USB drive, presumably containing important information. He glanced at it a few more times, silently making a note in his mind.

Just then, Joyce emerged from the office. Clint walked up to her, saying, "Let's go, we're going home." Joyce, taken aback by his casual tone, felt a bit awkward. It was strange - why did Munin seem so at ease, as if they had known each other for a long time?

"I'll drive. The keys are with me," Clint said, shaking the car keys in his hand. "Oh," Joyce responded.

As they walked through the lobby, Joyce, lost in thought, missed a step. Clint, sharp-eyed, quickly caught her. The intimate gesture caught the attention of others in the company, who couldn't help but sneak a few more glances. Even though they were puzzled, no one dared to say anything. What was the relationship between this handsome man and Miss Joyce?

Joyce brushed off Munin's hand steadying her and said, "I'm not going to fall, you're too cautious. There was no need to help me just now." Clint smiled and said, "It's a critical time now - sail cautiously. I didn't do anything wrong - after all, your child in your belly is the most important, isn't it?" Joyce was left speechless.

As they got into the car, Joyce, with her large belly, had some difficulty fastening the seatbelt. Clint helped her out. "Thank you," Joyce said. Clint's handsome face darkened slightly, "Are you this polite to everyone?"

Joyce replied, "Naturally." "Including your husband?" Clint suddenly felt uneasy and couldn't help asking. Joyce hesitated, what did he mean by that? Naturally, one would be polite to an outsider, who would be polite to their own husband. Why did his words sound strange?

Seeing Joyce frown, Clint quickly covered up, "I was joking, don't take it seriously." Following the navigation, Clint soon drove the car back home, pulling into the basement.
