You More Than Anything In The World novel Chapter 1114

“Don't worry, Dad. I'm already feeling much better,” Arissa reassured the old man.

“You should go and lie down, Arissa. Look at how pale your face is!” Darius expressed genuine concern, urging Benjamin to take action promptly.

At that, Benjamin lifted her up in his arms and made his way out of the bathroom. “Let's listen to Dad. I'll bring you upstairs so you can lie down and get some rest.”

Being carried by him rendered Arissa helpless, so she could only go along with what he said.

At that moment, the children ran over to them with worry written all over their little faces. “Mommy, did you fall sick again? Are you feeling unwell?”

As their words sank in, Darius cast a dubious gaze upon Arissa, noticing that she was wearing more layers of clothing than usual.

However, he did not have the chance to ask more questions. With Benjamin focused on carrying Arissa upstairs, Darius turned to William, urging the latter to get the doctor over sooner.

“I'm fine. Don't worry about me and go eat,” Arissa comforted the children.

Fueled by their concern for their mother, the children followed Benjamin upstairs. Despite William's initial intention to bring the children back downstairs to continue their meal, they seized the opportunity to slip past him when his attention momentarily shifted.

Gently, Benjamin carried Arissa into one of the rooms within Old Manor, while Darius helped lift up the blanket.

“Lie down and rest for a while, Issa. The doctor will be here very soon.”

As Arissa observed the visible nerves and worry etched on their faces, she couldn't help but feel that they were making a bigger fuss than necessary. Deep down, though, she understood their genuine concern and knew that cooperating would help ease their worries.

“Mommy!” The children surrounded the bed, staring at their mother with worry-filled gazes.

“I'm fine, really!” Arissa reassured them.

After tucking her in, Benjamin sat by the bed and massaged her hand to make her feel more comfortable.

Everyone was not in the mood for dinner after Arissa's vomiting, and they crammed into the room to keep her company.

Soon after, the doctor arrived and examined Arissa. Fortunately, her vitals showed no abnormalities.

“Mrs. Graham is fine. This is a normal symptom in the early stages of pregnancy. She just needs to be mindful of her meals. Ideally, her meals should be light, and she should consume less fish.”

Darius blamed himself for this. If I knew this earlier, I wouldn't have given Arissa fish.

“Can you prescribe her some medications to alleviate her discomfort? She just vomited quite a bit,” Benjamin piped up.

“Pregnant women should avoid taking medicines whenever possible. Morning sickness is a common occurrence, and we can consider giving her some medication if it's particularly severe,” the doctor explained.

He then turned to Arissa and inquired regarding her condition, “How are you feeling now, Mrs. Graham? Are you feeling better? If you're still uncomfortable, I can prescribe you some medicine.”

A faint smile tugged at the corners of Arissa's lips. At this point, she was merely feeling a little weak. “I'm feeling much better now. The nausea is gone.”

The doctor nodded in understanding, then proceeded to provide further guidance, recommending that she incorporate more fruits into her diet along with bland, easily digestible food.

“Mrs. Graham's condition isn't serious, and she doesn't require medication or injections for now. It's a common early pregnancy reaction. She may feel uncomfortable, but it will gradually ease up,” said the doctor to Benjamin and Darius.

The children exchanged meaningful glances, their eyes darting back and forth between the adults.

Is Mommy pregnant?

“Thank you, Doctor!” Overjoyed, Darius had William see the doctor off and even gave the latter a monetary gift.

Jasper was the first to approach his mother and asked curiously, “Mommy, are you pregnant?”

Jesse, Oliver, and Tim, too, gathered around and stared intently at her belly.

Arissa nodded and answered gingerly, “That's right. I'm pregnant.”

She kept her gaze fixed on the children's faces, afraid that they would be disappointed by her response.

Upon seeing that their expressions revealed an intense curiosity rather than disappointment, Arissa felt a wave of reassurance wash over her.

However, a sense of unease eventually welled up within her when she noticed that Gavin and Zachary seemed a little upset.

Are they in shock?

“Zachary, Gavin?” Arissa called out worriedly.

Gavin and Zachary's eyes shifted from Arissa to Benjamin. A hint of ferocity flickered in their gazes as they glared at the man, declaring, “Look at what you've done!”

Benjamin became speechless at that.
